The study of Neuroscience and The seven Learnings introduce Neuroscience as the new paradigm that enables to analyze and explain the intelligent human behavior. The discoveries found in this field have been shown not only in the theory but in the pedagogical practice as well. In the first case, one of the most recent theories about intelligent behavior has been conceived from the perspective of neuroscience (science that studies HUMAN BRAIN). (Beauport and Diaz, 1994) This study has given more relevance to the relation between the function of the brain and human behavior as well as the conditions that lead to an efficient teaching – learning process. In this context, we introduce The seven Learnings, described by Edgar Morin that state central problems which have been ignored and that are necessary in order to reach a successful teachinglearning process in this century. These seven Lea...

The main objective of this research is to deepen our understanding of the concept of cooperative interaction under conditions of asynchronous mediation in virtual learning. The study starts with the basic assumption that technology is not a neutral component in an interaction (Person–Machine–Person). It follows; therefore, that a change in the way of perceiving interaction may be created by the way manoeuvrability is facilitated via the internet and the framework of virtuality. The research methodology examines the cooperative asynchronous interaction as two different but complementary processes. The initial, theoretical exploration is designed to understand the psychological, pedagogical and technological factors under which cooperation in virtual learning is generated. The subsequent, empirical exploration is designed to observe –via a triangulation of the data– how the coopera...

This study proposed the design of three brief scales coherent with and contributing to the pedagogical perspective of schoolteachers, aiming to enhance self-regulated learning and psychological well-being of students. With the participation of teachers and other professionals who provided feedback throughout the process, scales for school motivation (ME), frustration tolerance (TF), and school satisfaction (SE) were designed and validated among 1260 students from 7th to 12th grade (57.7% female, mean age M=14.9 years, SD=1.9) belonging to three educational institutions in northern Chile. Descriptive, correlational, reliability, and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) measures obtained indicated adequate psychometric behavior in all scales. As a result of the validation process, the report indicates that the instruments meet psychometric criteria for application in the school context and c...

In the present study, the collection of machine learning algorithms of the Weka program was used to predict the bubble pressure of 36 oil samples, determining the accuracy of their results with the 10-fold cross-validation test method. Subsequently, for comparison purposes, the bubble pressures were calculated with the correlation generated in the work from which the samples were taken and their results were more precise than those obtained by the algorithms in 4 of the 7 performance metrics used. Due to this situation, and considering that the correlation was evaluated with the same data with which it was generated, the test method was changed to validation with the training data and the bubble pressures were predicted again. Other things being equal, machine learning was more accurate than correlation on all performance metrics.

In this research, the objective was to describe the perceptions that university students manifest of their formative process when moving from a face-to-face modality to a virtual one in the time of the SARS-CoV2 pandemic. The object of study was constructed from a sociological perspective that associated objective conditions and the corresponding production of subjectivities. Methodologically, three moments were recovered: 1) determination of social and technological capital; 2) construction of social classes from the determination of the volume and structure of capital; and 3) detection of student perceptions. The results (Cronbach's alpha of 0.913) establish that the lower the volume and structure of the students, the lower the academic performance, the less proclivity to an online work, the greater the need for academic accompaniment and the lower the institutional follow-up. By way o...

This research was carried out at the Universidad de Oriente (UNO) in Mexico with first-year students of the Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Development, its objective is to establish the self-perception of one's own generation and its relationship with learning and teaching. of their teachers. The study was qualitative with a phenomenological design, using the focus group technique, with convenience sampling, whose participants voluntarily attended the interviews. It was obtained that the students understand why their teachers teach with different strategies from the way in which they consider they learn, and it is due to the generation gap and their condition of digital migrants, being the conception and use of technology the main one. difference between them. Among the scope of the study is that it applies exclusively to students from the Yucatecan context and UNO, so it is desirable to r...

The work consisted of the design, elaboration and proposal of models with the use of Information andCommunication Technologies (ICT), to contribute to the study of the origin of the coelom in animals withbilateral symmetry in the teaching-learning process of Biology 2, in high school. Several methods ofinformation gathering and processing were used, which allowed verifying the evident deficienciesregarding the use and elaboration of models in digital format for the study of the origin of the coelom in the teaching-learning process of this subject. A total of three models, related to the acoelomate, pseudocoelomate and coelomate condition in bilaterally symmetrical animals were built in electronic format. The constructed models were introduced in the teaching - learning process of Biology 2 from the course 2019 - 2020. The models proposed, until their implementation, were assessed by expe...

Learning communication skills is central in medical education. Clinical simulation provides conditions to foster comprehensive teaching and learning processes, although it is necessary to understand student acceptance as a way to evaluate and improve the strategy. The objective of this study was to analyze the perception of medical students after introducing clinical simulation sessions to optimize the teaching and learning processes of communication skills. The study design is observational, cross-sectional, mixed, and uses census sampling. A survey was conducted through a questionnaire, and a descriptive analysis of the results was performed. The results reveal a generally good perception, where the majority of students highlighted the debriefing space or final reflection (64.8%), while 27.8% valued clinical simulation as a space for applying knowledge and more than 20% referred to the...

The learning of mathematics and its teaching are complex for the Peruvian student and teacher, especially in contexts marked by low economic conditions, in which quechua has already been forgotten due to its scarce practice. As a purpose, we propose to characterize the meanings of the learning and teaching of mathematics in quechua and Spanish, based on the qualitative - narrative approach, we assume a sample of 10 students and two quechua speakers and Spanish speakers of Huancavelica and Comas district (Lima). We use two instruments for the measurement of student learning, and a survey of pedagogical approach. The study allowed to conclude that the students of the Andean zones present more difficulties than the student in terms of numbering and problem solving. Teachers use management strategies, characterized by traditional methods of learning construction; However, the instructions of...

This article is shown as an integrated axis which refers directly to the action of strategies in processing the information in the human brain. The objective of this article is to study the achievements of learning strategies influence over the information process, to know the learning process of people in general and to design intervention techniques in order to improve the information process. Therefore, by applying the correct strategies, we will improve any learning process in many ways. From our perspective, to act strategically before any teaching- learning activity involves to make consciously the right decisions in order to regulate the conditions that define the learning process and to reach determined objectives. To teach strategies to students implies to teach them to decide consciously all actions they will perform and to modify them in order to reach determined goals. Result...

There is an increase in the number of children who are identified as gifted, and exhibit a learning disorder as well. This condition is known as dual exceptionality. However, there are few empirical studies about this topic. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to pres- ent a case study of a gifted child who was in the process of being diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. Interviews were conducted with the child, the mother and professionals that served him. Psychological, neurological and phonological evaluations carried out with the boy were analyzed. The mother and professionals raised further explanations for the child’s behavior. The difficulties in the diagnostic process and the need for a multidisciplinary approach are explored.
