Dirofilariasis is a zoonotic disease with worldwide distribution transmitted by Aedes, Anopheles and Culex mosquitoes to animals and humans. The objective of the study was to evaluate the prevalence of the heartworm Dirofilaria immitis (Leidy, 1856) in the shelter "El perro feliz" in the Sucre canton, Ecuador during the year 2021 diagnosed by the thick drop method. A descriptive study was carried out, and a sampling of 100 apparently healthy dogs was carried out during the months of September and October 2020. An ecological study of Anolis homolechis (Cope, 1864) (Squamata: Dactyloidae), a Cuban endemic reptile, is presented in the "Mogotes de Jumagua" National Ecological Reserve, located in the municipality of Sagua la Grande, Villa Clara province. The following parameters were taken into account: substrate, activity period, ecomorphs, diet, courtship and population; in addition, sympatric species were determined. This species was observed using tree trunks, shrubs, soil and stones, and presented its major activity between 11:01 am and 12 m. It also showed preference for feeding on insects, especially hymenoptera, and was found in cohabitation with four other anole species, although without establishing competition for the substrate.

A cross-sectional observational research was carried out in 10 Basic State Units (BSU) of laying hens and five of replacements in the Matanzas province, Cuba during a period of eight weeks, from March to May 2019. The data, epizootiological quadrants, identification was recorded. of the BSU, total number of rearing houses, orientation of the houses, distance and location of nearby towns and roads and for the spatial visualization the QGIS version 3.0.1 program was used. Research as a process of confi rmation or refutation of assumptions, theories, phenomena, and others is important because it makes it possible to place an area of knowledge at the forefront, demonstrating what is useful and what is not. The main objective of this research is to propose a professional improvement strategy to contribute to the development of skills in the elaboration and subsequent publication of scientifi c articles in high-impact indexed journals.
