The existence of several causes of antisocial behavior during adolescence seems to respond, not only to the combination of many risk factors within different levels of human development, but also to cultural and historical processes affecting, in many ways, several generations since their early childhood. This paper revises the main explicative theories about antisocial behavior during adolescence and highlights the theory of the Neuropsychological Taxonomy of the Antisocial Behavior proposed by Terrie E. Moffitt (1993, 1994, 1996, 2003). Moreover, some studies are mentioned due to the fact that they confirm the cross-cultural validity of Moffitt’s theorical model and its contributions to the design of prevention programs against delinquency for youngsters and adolescents in our context.

Behavior-based safety programs are applied with the aim of reinforcing the level of safety at work, but if it is done by complying with a number of observations of safe behavior established in the goal of the month in the workplace, it generates in workers who only comply with safety while being observed or that observers report behaviors that they did not really see; consequently, accidents with workers continue and even worse with fatal cases, observers stop believing in the safety program they are using and management comes to believe that with a greater number of observations it is possible to correct unsafe behaviors; therefore, the results of the program are not achieved over time. This is a consequence of not having understood the principles of behavior-based security theory since the beginning of its implementation. In the present investigation, the behavior-based security theory...

Background: Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are a public health problem and the programs to reduce their transmission are mostly addressed from the risk approach and not from a comprehensive intervention. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of a biographical-professional intervention program with cognitive behavioral techniques to reduce sexual risk behaviors in men who have sex with men (MSM). Method: A two-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design was used in the research. The first group consisted of MSM with an STD, nine of whom were in the experimental group and eight in the control group, whereas the second group consisted of MSM with no STD distributed into two groups of 11 men each. The participants answered the questions of an ad hoc scale, whose validity and reliability were previously evaluated. Results: Differences between the experimental and control groups’ pr...

The objectives of the research were characterized by the communication strategy of the Healthy University Program of the Peruvian Union University and to determine its incidence in the change of lifestyle of the university population. A study approached from the integrative theoretical conception of one way and two way communication of social construction, analyzed by Luis Ramiro Beltrán and the strategic communication proposal of the Manual of Social Communication for Programs for the Promotion of Adolescent Health, promoted by the Pan American Organization of the Health (PAHO). Likewise, the theory of communication in health called Transtheoretical Model or Stages of Behavior Change by Prochaska and Di Clemente, will find to identify the stage achieved by the students. The study was non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational, using a previously validated survey applied to a samp...

Objective: To describe the behavior of the BCL-2 protein in non-small-cell lung cancer cell models in response to treatment with ALK (anaplastic lymphoma kinase) protein tyrosine kinase inhibitors (crizotinib and alectinib) and their potential dual BCL-2-ALK inhibition. Materials and methods: Three non-small-cell-lung cancer cell models were used: Ba/f3 EML4-ALKWT, Ba/f3 EML4-ALKL1196M and Ba/f3 EML4-ALKG1202R, generated by site-directed mutagenesis. These were treated with crizotinib and alectinib in a dose-responsive manner, and an apoptosis assay was also conducted to confirm pharmacological susceptibility. Subsequently, BCL-2 protein expression was measured under three treatment conditions (no treatment, 100 nM crizotinib and 50 nM alectinib). Finally, a search for BCL-2 and ALK ligands was performed for molecular docking simulation and interaction energy calculation, measured in kca...

This article presents an analysis of the pro active social behavior construct based on the sociallearning theory. Self efficacy is briefly reviewed and discussed in the context of Bandura' s conceptual work. Reference is made to cognitive variables such as values and beliefs, as fundamental principies in the development of the pro active social behavior. I examine che distinctions between fears of failure, success, and rejection as they relate to the process of self sabotage. Comments are made on the transformation of meaning and its benefits on fear extinction. Finally, I briefly describe the principies of the associative neurophysiological conditioning as a therapeutic program for the management of emocional states by the individual.

Occupational accidents have become one of the most important challenges for organizations to address. It is urgent to take measures to avoid continuing losses in terms of human and economic resources. During the last decades, Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) has been considered an effective methodology aimed at determining the antecedents that lead to risky behavior. It focuses on promoting a preventive safety culture avoiding accidents and occupational diseases in the workplace. The study is aimed at the systematic review of the available literature on the key aspects for the management and implementation of BBS, as well as the findings that have been found after its application. Keywords were used in database search engines and only the most relevant in English were considered. Five common elements were found for the BBS, in addition, 99% of the studies showed a substantial improvement than...

Indecopi, through the Commission for the Defense of Free Competition, takes several measures to ensure that economic agents comply with the provisions of the Single Ordered Text of the Law for the Repression of Anti-Competitive Behavior. Among its most relevant functions over the last years, the detection of cartels, one of the most harmful anticompetitive conducts for the market, stands out. Through this type of practice, competitors agree to set prices, limit production, divide up customers, suppliers or geographical areas, and establish positions or abstentions in a given bidding process or public tender. In this article, the authors present the coexistence of the Compliance Programs and the Rewards Program as tools for detecting anti-competitive behavior, analyzing the criteria to be considered by individuals when choosing one of them. In that sense, some proposals will be made to imp...

In any research process, as we know, the scientific method allows us to detect problems and set objectives. Precisely, the study carried out, by the logical sense of educational research, starts by formulating an objective, based on the problem we determined, it was raised with the following statement: Establish the characteristics of democratic coexistence in the Students of the Non-School Program of the town of Los Ángeles, Tournavista, Puerto Inca 2020. The appropriate method was the analysis that allowed us to understand the texts included in the study. The result was; The correlation index shows that the value of r = 0.69 and r = 0.81, are located in the interval 0.40 ≤ r <0.80 and its interpretation indicates that there is a significant relationship between the theoretical characteristics of democratic coexistence and the practice of behavior of democratic coexistence in the ...

In recent years, the problems of social inequality and urban disorder have intensified due to the sectorization of the city after a process of unequal urban modernization, making people feel differences in spaces of social integration, urban facilities and habitability, which evokes a main consequence of urban deficit that places people in a situation of precariousness in multiple dimensions in living conditions and citizen insecurity, which leads to delimiting urban areas, encouraging the development of intervention programs of a socio-urban nature. The research is framed in SDG-11.3 with a critical analysis of Compact Systems Thinking and Dialogue-Debate with multidisciplinary specialists. It constitutes a basic substantive research, with a mixed approach, at a descriptive-explanatory level; Non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample was 322 units, using observation sheets, qu...
