This research reviewed the decisions of the dispute settlement bodies of three trade agreements: the Andean Community, the World Trade Organization and the European Union. It is argued that in the field of international trade, the content, characteristics and role of non-binding measures are assessed to analyze their incompatibility with international standards and determine non-compliance of States.

The facts indicate that real wage rates tend to be homogenous within the First World, but they exhibit significant differences between the First World and the Third World. The standard neoclassical trade model predicts real wage equalization across countries. This prediction is consistent with the first fact, but is refuted by the second. On the other hand, the standard Ricardian model does not predict real wage equalization, so in principle these facts do not refute the model; however, it is unable to explain the wages-profits distribution. This paper proposes a generalized Ricardian trade model, which solves this theoretical difficulty. The generalized model is able to explain both facts about real wages and international trade. On epistemological grounds, the Ricardian theory proves to be superior to the neoclassical theory.

The international trade in wildlife has a long history resulting in the near disappearance of some populations. This activity is an important economic alternative, both for the conservation of the species and for their sustainable use by the rural communities. Information on international trade was obtained through the customs operation system, the perception through interviews and the current status of the species through the national and international levels of threat. In the value chain weaknesses were identified to be improved, such as avoiding data loss, guaranteeing the traceability of the resource and improvi...

International trade fairs are an international marketing instrument usually used by the exporting companies. Despite the benefits of international trade fairs, Peruvian exporting companies have a limited participation as exhibitors in them. There is no evidence to show how Peruvian exhibitors assessed their participation in international trade fairs. The main objective of the study is to analyze through which dimensions exhibiting companies evaluate their exhibition performance at international trade through sales results. Therefore, we decided to work with a model of trade fair performance of exhibiting companies including a dimension based on sales results. The study is quantitative and the research is correlational. The hypothetical deductive method was used and survey was determined as data collection instrument. As a result it appears that within the dimension of sales there is a st...

The liberalization process of the Peruvian economy, initiated in the 1990s, has led the external sector to a high level of vulnerability in the current global context. On the one hand, the rapid growth of exports -mainly primary products- is linked to the price increase due to China’s strong demand, starting in the 2000s. However, the international crisis of 2008-2009 and the beginning of the Chinese economic model change, had an impact on the process decline of Peruvian exports since 2012; accentuated by the sharp fall in raw material prices and the loss of competitiveness vis-à-vis Asian products. On the other hand, the structure and composition of Peruvian international trade, including a pattern of specialization oriented to the export of low added value goods and the growing import of high and medium technology goods, represent one of the major weaknesses of the national economy.

Welfare measures and their assessment involve a set of indicators that, as economic thoughtevolves, are subject to critique. Nonetheless, the ultimate debate focuses on the quality of life and the conditions fostered by each economy. Using data from the period 1993 to 2019, this paper presents an analysis of the current account and terms of trade, highlighting the significance of these variables, as they encompass important flows and contribute to shaping market conditions and the resulting benefits. The study employs both Vector Error Correction (VECM) and Structural Vector Error Correction (SVECM) models to explore the interplay between external dynamics and their effects on the economy. The findings reveal that an export price shock has an expansive effect on investment, yet its impact on savings becomes marginally significant over time. Unexpected shocks on investment are roughly 38%...
