This paper is part of a bigger research that aims to understand how professional education delivered through Project-Based Learning (PBL) affects self-authorship development on undergraduate students. This part of the project aims to evaluate self-authorship development of undergraduate students enrolled on PBL during four to five years. The method used was qualitative, transversal, with biographical-narrative approach. In deep interviews were the instrument for data construction. Nine students of different semesters voluntarily participate on the interviews. Data analysis were based on categories validated on previous research, using the software Atlas.ti as a tool. Results found that practical experience during professional education would exert different effects on students depending on their self-authorship position. In addition, found that PBL on its own is not sufficient to generat...

This article reflects on connectivism as a pedagogical approach for the development of learning processes that can be generated from information and communication technologies applied to education. It is presented as a pedagogical alternative that has gone through a series of epistemological debates about its theoretical character and pedagogical value to transform traditional educational practices. The methodology used was the documentary review and includes the main investigations on connectivism that have been carried out in Latin American countries, the United States and Spain, among others, and which are referenced in various databases, such as Redalyc, Dialnet, Springer and Scopus. In the results, the different theoretical and conceptual discussions about connectivism are presented, emphasizing the contributions that it has had to the consolidation of new pedagogical and educationa...

Objective: To determine the relationship between the students' perception of the use of problem-based learning based on problems and the development of abilities in the Faculty of Stomatology of the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University (UIGV). Materials and method: Descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational study. The population was students of the fifth cycle the Faculty of Stomatology of the UIGV of 2015-I, that were taking removable partial prosthesis and who met the inclusion (enrolled in the subject of Removable Partial Prosthesis of the year 2015-I, accessibility, availability and acceptance of participation in the study). We worked with 49 students. The instrument used: An evaluation questionnaire. The tenor of the questions inquires about the perception that the student develops on the methodology of learning based on problems and the development of abilities that considers t...

The article substantiates the need to integrate the findings of linguistics and information theory for the selection of learning content aimed at developing and perfecting the universal cognitive skills of students of a technical university. Consideration of the concept of information in the learning process, the amount of information, and the quality of information may reveal new insights into the information processes produced by an individual in communication. The authors of the article understand the information process as an action with textual information, leading to its qualitative or formal change with one or another communicative aim.The learning algorithms for working with textual information, proposed by the authors of the article, allow not only to speed up the process of understanding and consolidating the course content but also provide for a self-reflection component of st...

Teacher training for the effective implementation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education has become a key aspect of educational research. In this regard, the lack of appropriate models to support teachers in their professional development is evident. An investigation has been conducted on the most effective ways in which elementary school teachers acquire their digital competencies based on the contributions of 23 experts. Using Delphi methodology with two iterations, expert knowledge about the problem was probed to learn how it is developed and refined. Adopting the theoretical lens of Learning Ecologies, the results provide a contrast on which components support effective professional learning with respect to ICT integration, laying the groundwork for new methods and approaches to professional development.

The aim of study was to evaluate the prospective planning for the formative development of learning about the methodology of scientific research in university students through accelerated modality. A differential prospective route was considered through accelerated training between April 22 and 26 (replica I) and from April 29 to May 3, 2019 (replica II) which was directed to, students of the 10th academic cycle belonging to the Faculty of Civil Engineering of National University San Luis Gonzaga of Ica, Peru. Two variables of interest were considered for analysis: 1st), responsibility before the social recognition of graduation (RSRG) and 2nd), number of project proposals to present (NPPP). The RSRG was evaluated by means of assistance and the advance on the practical activities developed in class. The RSRG was evaluated through assistance and progress on practical activities developed ...

This investigation explores the principles of CLIL for the design of a content-based course called Art History & Appreciation. These principles constitute the beliefs that direct the decisions about the course objectives, content, method and evaluation. Thus, an integrated model of curriculum is expected to be developed. The products of this model, that is, the syllabus, lesson planning, materials and tests are also immersed in the context of CLIL and other related theories, like Task-Based Learning, which permits its implementation in the classroom, and Communicative Language Ability, which sets the components for the evaluation of its effectiveness.

The study of Neuroscience and The seven Learnings introduce Neuroscience as the new paradigm that enables to analyze and explain the intelligent human behavior. The discoveries found in this field have been shown not only in the theory but in the pedagogical practice as well. In the first case, one of the most recent theories about intelligent behavior has been conceived from the perspective of neuroscience (science that studies HUMAN BRAIN). (Beauport and Diaz, 1994) This study has given more relevance to the relation between the function of the brain and human behavior as well as the conditions that lead to an efficient teaching – learning process. In this context, we introduce The seven Learnings, described by Edgar Morin that state central problems which have been ignored and that are necessary in order to reach a successful teachinglearning process in this century. These seven Lea...

The article presents a case study of a hybrid classroom experience in a university class of Social Communication in Colombia, in which an affinity space was built through the use of information and communication technologies (ICT). Using the theories of affinity space (Gee, 2003, 2005, 2017) and connected learning (Ito et al., 2013) and based on qualitative data collected during four iterations of the class “Communication and Interactivity” (2019-2, 2020-1, 2020-2 and 2021-1), the case reflects on the process of building an affinity space and on the design and implementation of a collective blog as a tool for teaching and learning. By analyzing of the contents and interactions created in the affinity space, particularly in the blog, I inquire about the possibilities for innovation offered by designing environments that are production-centered, networked, and that have a shared purpos...

Technology plays a significant role in education nowadays. People is aware of its importance and there are numerous researches regarding its benefits when applied to the teaching – learning process. Nevertheless, since social networks are a relatively young developed technology, few researches have been carried out around the world about it, and virtually none in Peru. This research was developed with the sole purpose of analyzing the impact that the application of an instructional design based on social learning theory and TPACK framework has on promoting the use of social network sites to improve English language learning of students coursing Beginners IV at Señor de Sipan Language Center (SSLC) during October 2015. To test the hypothesis the quasi experimental design was applied. A Pre - test was given, to diagnose the problem. Results shown that students had a low level of English...
