What is it like to live without questioning the meaning of existence? This document proposes how something as common and chaotic as existential crises can find transformation and change through drama therapy. This therapeutic tool facilitates emotional expression through drama (acting, play, dramaturgy, masks, among other elements of theatrical art) and generates powerful introspection processes in participants through their self-awareness, through provocative questions posed by the drama therapist. The social symptoms of existential emptiness end up generating emotional difficulties that can even lead to the loss of life for those who experience them. For this reason, it is decided to work with young people, as they are the population most affected by this problem. In other words, drama therapy aims to propose a path that approaches the construction of the purpose for which young people...

This document is based on a recent study on the relation between ethnicity, culture, «race» and ancestry among Afro-Peruvians. Findings show that while construction of the «black» or Afrodescendant identity in Peru holds the cultural dimension as a central component, it mainly - and fundamentally- revolves around the idea of the existence of a «black race». According to these «racialized» identity criteria, the boundaries of an Afro-descendant «we» cover only those with certain phenotypic markers that Afro-Peruvians themselves consider as defining membership in the «black race». The phenotypical «evidence» of «blackness» thus appears as a kind of «necessary condition» for the «black»/Afro- Peruvian identity. This form of self-identification poses a threat to the political discourses and projects of Afro-Peruvian organizations seeking to build a «de-racialized...

The thesis “The Lived Nursing Bachelor Curriculum: Constructing and Deconstructing the Nursing Care Professional Who Lives in Me” belongs to line of research in nursing education of both, the National University of Trujillo, Peru, and the National School of Nursing and Obstetrics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. The purpose of this research is to deepen into the reflection on the day-to-day lived curriculum and the formal planned curriculum lived within defined times and spaces. Twenty two students organized in three focus groups and who were in-depth interviewed participated in the study. All these students were enrolled in the 8th semester of their bachelor program. The sampling saturation was reached through the snow-ball methodology. The results contributed to further reflect on the representations, beliefs, preferences, ideologies, etcetera, which all together co...

Part of the research Epistemology Underlying Teaching Work is presented, with data collected in Peru, Chile and Uruguay, through interviews with 17 teachers. It aims to identify epistemological conceptions that underlie the teaching of Mathematics and verify whether such conceptions are similar to those found in Brazil. The objective is to apprehend the epistemological conceptions underlying the answers to questions 20-23 of the research. The result is the almost total lack of understanding that mathematical knowledge results from constructive processes. They attribute learning to teaching, without thematizing the origin of such capabilities or structures; they widely believe in its achievement by memorizing algorithms, putting creative processes such as problem solving in the background. The basic theoretical reference is Piagetian Genetic Epistemology.

The aim of this article is to present the processes that drive the phasic identity dynamics of social identity, allowing us to define simultaneously a representation of self and the personal and professional project. As a result, it implies differentiated levels of anchorages in the organizations, groups and society that contribute to shaping the self-project. We will illustrate this, thanks to cases and situations related to the context, autobiographical memory but also emotions, feeling of capacity and motivation. One of our orientations stipulates that social identity is organized in a representational dynamic in which the phases of action become facilitators of identity construction and leaving forms in experiential memory necessary for the construction of the project

Accreditation of higher education in Ecuador takes on a paramount significance for the development of academic activities. This study focuses on the distinction between evaluation and accreditation, emphasizing their relationship. The accreditation in Ecuadorian higher education is addressed, considering parameters such as teaching, research, and engagement with society, highlighting its relevance. The employed method centers on the construction and analysis of the Referential Framework, playing a crucial role in providing a clear and accessible understanding of the research topic. The results underscore the importance of continuous training and knowledge updates in university education, especially in an environment characterized by constant changes. In conclusion, the need for implementing continuous evaluation processes at all levels of the educational institution is emphasized.

The teacher is one of the main actors in the learning process and his or her belief system influences his or her pedagogical practice. The objective of this research is to identify the conceptions of a group of education students in a highland province of Peru about rural education, their role in it and the characteristics of the students. A qualitative study using a semi-structured interview is proposed. The results showed that the participants recognize the cultural value of rurality and the needs and rights of its inhabitants, however, they continue to relate them to poverty and less development, which can be translated into discourses that transmit a hopeless and disadvantaged vision. Stereotypical conceptions of rural students were also identified, which may influence the construction of teachers’ expectations and have an impact on their performance and students’ academic a...

We present our results using an illustrative exemplary case of our work on the dynamic capabilities and the construction of a project within a student population enrolled in university courses. This period of life allows the transition between adolescence and adulthood, but also between a state of learner to that of worker inserted into the economic fabric of society. This identity construction is based on the social representations inherent to each group, but their integration at the individual level is influenced by the subjective experience of each person. Our results show that the sense of being competent, which is part of being engaged in a project, is influenced by emotional and experiential states. This influence can also be readjusted to better reflect a current self-image when there is a supported reflexive process.
