Introduction: The article aims to unveil the way in which the CRUCH (Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities) universities are training their future teachers in the field of educational inclusion, for which the training itineraries and graduation profiles of the different pedagogies taught by these study houses present in its institutional web pages. From the methodological point of view, the research ascribes to a qualitative approach with a multiple-case design, taking into account the multiplicity of analysis units made up of the different study houses. Este trabajo tiene doble propósito, el primero de ellos es determinar los factores asociados al rendimiento académico de los alumnos del primer año lectivo 2014 de las carreras de Ingeniería de la Universidad de Atacama, el segundo, determinar aquellas variables determinantes de la deserción académica. De acuerdo a la naturaleza de los datos se hizo uso del modelo de regresión lineal múltiple, para determinar los factores asociados al rendimiento académico. En la segunda parte se utilizó un modelo de Regresión Logística para determinar aquellos factores que han incidido en la tasa de deserción. The following research attempts to determinate the existence of a Brand Personality among two Chilean State Universities’ Psychology undergraduate programs. The Aaker’s Brand Personality Scale was applied on 289 students of both undergraduate programs in order to evaluate their impressions for 45 characteristics that are included in the scale. Results show the existence of a defined Brand Personality for each program, with one of them includes different characteristics. The advantage of a defined Brand Personality in a complex scenario for universities is discussed, including a reflection about the importance of stating differences on high education services.

The article, the results of a study carried out with academic teacher educators of the Universidad Católica del Maule, to which a survey was applied based on a Likert scale, seeks to reveal their opinions in relation to educational inclusion, the links that establish between NEE and inclusion, the recognition of other groups that are subject to exclusion and / or discrimination in school systems, the critical knots involved in the attention of some of these groups and the training possibilities offered by their institution in this field. The purpose of this article is to reflect on a complex conception of the concept of territory within the framework of the link with the environment of Chilean state universities. To achieve this purpose, the institutional policies of the area of the 18 universities of the State of Chile, the Higher Education Law and the Law of State Universities were reviewed, as well as the reference framework of linkage with the environment of the Consortium of Universities of the State of Chile. The results indicate that in the documents analyzed there is a poor definition of the concept of territory, and its mention is mainly geographical, which deprives a critical sense of a highly relevant university function for the development of society.

El quehacer educativo está sujeto a un constante proceso adaptativo del entorno social, político y económico. Y en ese devenir evolutivo, en las últimas décadas, la universidad ha transitado por dos caminos antagónicos: la desregulación y privatización, por un lado, y, en la orilla del frente, el control y supervisión Estatal. La innovación educativa es un objetivo relevante para las instituciones de educación superior, en especial ,para las instituciones formadora de profesores, por el impacto que tiene en el sistema educacional de un país. La Universidad de Los Lagos, universidad regional de la ciudad de Osorno en Chile, realizó una revisión del estado de la innovación educativa entre sus carreras pedagógicas. A través del análisis de entrevistas a académicos y la revisión de documentos institucionales, se concluyó que existen dificultades para delimitar el concepto de innovación; que la innovación en las carreras pedagógicas se inicia con la innovación curricular impulsada por el Modelo Educativo Institucional basado en competencias; y que las experiencias de innovación docente son, principalmente, innovaciones silenciosas.
