A network is an acyclic directed graph in which there are sources that have some messages and want to transmit to receivers through the combination of messages in intermediate nodes. The goal is to find a collection of functions that allow to combine messages in order to satisfy the demand of the receivers. In this paper, we study the fractional solvability problem of a network using an extension of the solvability problem in closure operators given by Gadouleau in 2013. We define linear programming problems via the desired extension in order to study capacities; using some information inequalities and characteristic-dependent linear rank inequalities, we obtain upper bounds on linear capacity of some networks and closure operators over some fields.

En la presente revisión, y apoyándonos en nuestra experiencia en el Hospital Comarcal de Jaca, intentaremos poner de relieve y discutir los beneficios y los problemas que generan las unidades de cirugía sin ingreso. Analizaremos los distintos tipos de programas ambulatorios y los modelos de unidad quirúrgica, mostrando sus ventajas e inconvenientes. Por último, intentaremos proponer diversas líneas para mejorar la calidad ofertada, la satisfacción del usuario y la relación coste / efectividad de los procesos quirúrgicos.

In this article, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the homogeneous generalized Schrödinger equation of order m in the periodic distributional space P0, where m is an even number not a multiple of four. Furthermore, we prove that the solution depends continuously respect to the initial data in P0. Introducing a family of weakly continuous operators, we prove that this family is a group in P0. Then, with this family of operators, we get a fine version of the existence and dependency continuous theorem obtained. Finally, we give the conclusions and remarks derived from this study.

The High School Timetabling Problem is an NP-Complete problem that consists in allocating subjects, that are taught by teachers and assigned to each class, to periods while satisfying constraints. Throughout the years, metaheuristics haven given better results to real-life instances compared to deterministic methods since the search space for timetabling problems are huge and exploring it completely is impossible. The better the schedules are, the better the students and teachers’ performance, and the costs of generating these schedules are reduced. This proposal consists in modifications done separately to the Iterated Local Search (ILS) with the Torque (TQ) operator for the 34 real-life instances of schools of Brazil. The sales and operations planning process has to continually evolve before the new integration dimensions in the company supply and demand areas; for many years this concept has not been well understood in the companies. The inputs and outputs of this process should be clearly individualized and accepted as responsibilities of a determined business area. A new management architecture, corresponding to this scenario, is proposed and discussed in this document. A review of the computer support requirements for this process is undertaken. The required logic is also explained, highlighting the problems of corporate culture that arise in response to these changes and how they should be avoided. The common mistakes that companies make facing this need and the key success factors for an adequate deployment are also pointed out.

Primal or dual strong-duality (or min-sup, inf-max duality) in nonconvex optimization is revisited in view of recent literature on the subject, establishing, in particular, new characterizations for the second case. This gives rise to a new class of quasiconvex problems having zero duality gap or closedness of images of vector mappings associated to those problems. Such conditions are described for the classes of linear fractional functions and that of quadratic ones. In addition, some applications to nonconvex quadratic optimization problems under a single inequality or equality constraint, are presented, providing new results for the fulfillment of zero duality gap or dual strong-duality.
