Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a common mental disorder affecting a significant percentage of individuals worldwide (0.7 % - 5.9 %). However, it is also one of the most challenging disorders to address due to the severe impairment it causes in diagnosed individuals’ social and occupational functioning. Therefore, this review presents various theoretical aspects to broaden the understanding and treatment of BPD. It begins by describing the diagnostic criteria for BPD according to the DSM-5, the psychopathological characteristics based on Millon’s personality theory, and the mechanisms of chronicity. Subsequently, it explores the etiological causes, related clinical syndromes, and the use of third-generation therapies as psychological interventions for BPD. Introduction: the quality of life related to health is perhaps one of the most objective measure of health. Provides a more comprehensive, integral and valid health status. Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the perception of Health-Related Quality of Life in elderly adults living in Chiclayo, and to identify the epidemiological characteristics related with such perception. Methods: A cluster sampling method was used, 400 subjects were interviewed using 2 instruments, a social and epidemiological form and a quality of life questionnaire based on the SF-36 Health Survey, and the variables assessed were as follows: physical functioning, physical role, body pain, general health, vitality, social functioning, emotional role, and mental health. Objetivo: Mapear la evidencia científica disponible con respecto a la eficacia de los ejercicios excéntricos en el retorno al deporte de los atletas con tendinopatía rotuliana. Introducción: La tendinopatía rotuliana constituye una lesión frecuente en deportistas que participan en actividades que implican saltos. Si bien existen tratamientos convencionales, tales como el reposo y el uso de antiinflamatorios, su eficacia no siempre está garantizada. La investigación justifica el valor de la experiencia del aburrimiento, ahondando en su relevancia en el marco de la sociedad contemporánea. La metodología está situada dentro del paradigma interpretativo de enfoque cualitativo, bajo una investigación de tipo teórico y un diseño de carácter descriptivo. Las categorías apriorísticas tienen sustento epistemológico en las teorías de Husserl (1962), Heidegger (1997), Nietzsche (2003), Schopenhauer (2004) y Sartre (2016).
