The aim of the article is to study the sustainable practice and the economic role of the agricultural biodiversity in the more unstable environments of the floodplains, the "sand bars" and "silt bars". The study was carried out in seven communities of the "Setor Muyuy" near the town of Iquitos in 2004. This study also compares the agrobiodiversity of a community in 1999. The methodology used is the same applied by the "People, Land Management and Environmental Change" from United Nations University, which prioritizes experimentation, demonstration and explication of the agricultural systems by farmers themselves. The results show the agricultural systems of sand bars and silt bars vary according to the type of annual sediment. In 2004, agricultural credit is promoted for rice. Purpose – This paper aims to test the hypothesis that the effect of production slowdown on labour demand can be muted by labour hoarding. Design/methodology/approach – This study adopts a production function approach, using data from Malta, a small state in the EU. Findings – The results confirm the hypothesis and indicate that firms are normally prepared to employ and dismiss more workers in the long run than in the short run. Practical implications – This finding has important implications for developed countries, including that labour hoarding can be of certain relevance in times of economic slowdown as shocks are absorbed by internal flexibility. At the core of deep learning optimization problems reside algorithms such as the Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD), which employs a subset of the data per iteration to estimate the gradient in order to minimize a cost function. Adaptive algorithms, based on SGD, are well known for being effective in using gradient information from past iterations, generating momentum or memory that enables a more accurate prediction of the true gradient slope in future iterations, thus accelerating convergence. Nevertheless, these algorithms still need an initial (scalar) learning rate (LR) as well as a LR scheduler. In this work we propose a new SGD algorithm that estimates the initial (scalar) LR via an adaptation of the ideal Cauchy step size for the multinomial logistic regression; furthermore, the LR is recursively updated up to a given number of epochs, after which a decaying LR scheduler is used. ...

Está presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar los criterios de diseño arquitectónico para un Mercado de Abastos Minorista en el distrito de La esperanza, Trujillo, Perú, por lo tanto contiene información sobre el desarrollo de la variable: estrategias de integración al entorno urbano desarrollada en un mercado de abastos, a su vez compara la realidad local, nacional y global sobre el tema, tomando como referencia a especialistas sobre la variable y el objeto arquitectónico, por otro lado, analiza casos arquitectónicos nacionales e internacionales en función, forma, estructura y entorno, así mismo, propone lineamientos de diseño para la creación de un objeto que se relacionen y se compenetre con su entorno, generando una armonía entre lo nuevo a construir y lo ya construido.

Introduction: the quality of life related to health is perhaps one of the most objective measure of health. Provides a more comprehensive, integral and valid health status. Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the perception of Health-Related Quality of Life in elderly adults living in Chiclayo, and to identify the epidemiological characteristics related with such perception. Methods: A cluster sampling method was used, 400 subjects were interviewed using 2 instruments, a social and epidemiological form and a quality of life questionnaire based on the SF-36 Health Survey, and the variables assessed were as follows: physical functioning, physical role, body pain, general health, vitality, social functioning, emotional role, and mental health. El presente trabajo tiene como principal tema de investigación desarrollar la mejora de la eficiencia en el proceso de termofusión en una empresa del sector servicios, aplicando la gestión del conocimiento y gestión por procesos basado en el ciclo PDCA. La implementación de la gestión del conocimiento y la gestión por procesos obtendría como beneficios, el aumento en la eficiencia del proceso de termofusión, disminución en las uniones defectuosas, disminución en las horas extras y mejora en la calidad del servicio. In the age of the Internet, anonymous online users can form a societal reaction by posting large quantities of critique and insulting comments against (perceived) norm violations on social media. These so-called online firestorms, or Enjō in Japanese, tend to include aggressive behavior against the target. This research aims to reveal the dynamics of Enjō and explores how people communicate with each other in the formation process of Enjō by conducting a comparative case study. This study collects tweets posted in five Enjō cases and compares each case to create conceptual categories of the communication process of Enjō.
