The present research work was carried out in the Educational Institution "Juan Mejía Baca", Chiclayo. The study was carried out with a sample of 25 women and 27 males of the third grade of secondary, with an age ranging from 13 to 16 years. The type of research according to the purpose it pursued was basic and according to the design, non-experimental transectional correlational / causal. The study was based on determining the influence of the processes characteristic of the area of mathematics on the academic performance in the subject of mathematics. These processes were dimensioned in four independent variables; Considering the academic performance in the math subject as a dependent variable. The academic achievement in the math subject was obtained by averaging the grades for each of the four semesters. The results obtained from the parametric...

Introduction: Learning assessment is a process where it is important to incorporate students through self-assessment, to involve them and make them responsible for their learning. Objective: To investigate the usefulness of self-assessment from the perspective of higher education students. Method: The methodology is mixed, with a qualitative analysis carried out in ATLAS.ti and a quantitative analysis developed in SPSS and Excel. Results: Self-assessment is not frequently used since only 23% of the participants have used it with a high frequency. Conclusions: a) An area of opportunity is for students to compare their learning with their peers’, b) for effective self-assessment, students must strengthen their confidence in themselves, c) it is necessary for teachers to incorporate activities after self-assessment, d) the use of self-assessment is useful if its implementation has a goal ...

This research emerges impregnated with a deep halo of complexity, which seeks to rethink the work of educational organizations in times of crisis under a hegemonic vision of education and of life itself. It starts from a conception of education as a training activity, permanent, with meaning, transcendental to the current situation of being, according to Balza (2008), an education "that permeates and models the multidimensionality of the human being", therefore that this is conceived in an integral way, as a whole that is nourished by the concurrence and contributions of the sociocultural and socio-pluricultural disciplines, therefore, transdisciplinarity, according to Nicolescu (1996), is to understand the unreality of reality from the unity of knowledge. However, the inter-problematic most felt in this context is directly associated with the teacher as a manager of processes, to mediat...

Introduction: The changes in the academic life of graduate students due to the pandemic generated complex socioemotional processes that need to be explored. Objective: to compare the socioemotional processes in graduate students during the closure of universities according to the area of knowledge and sex. Method: exploratory-descriptive-comparative quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. A total of 119 questionnaires were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U non-parametric statistical test to determine significant differences in the independent variables. Results: Significant differences were identified before and during the pandemic in prosocial emotions and mood affectations in both groups of students due to the overload of academic-work activities and the differentiated conditions by area. Women in area 2 were more affected. Discussion: the socio-structural and situational con...

Development of Russian society puts forward new requirements for the quality of training in higher educational institutions. It is necessary for a short period of training in the higher educational institution not only to transfer to student’s important professional knowledge and skills, but also to form the ability and willingness to use them creatively. This issue is especially challenging when preparing design students. Today, a promising, popular and dynamically developing profession of designer is in demand in almost all areas of life. The increased demand for individuality in the design of living space, from the planning and design of the interior or exterior to the most insignificant things, can only be satisfied by a designer who has the ability to combine, improvise and find breakthrough ideas. Therefore, there is a crucial issue of the search for teaching aids that allow stud...

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is considered a neurodevelopmental disorder, whose prevalence has increased in recent years, showing in some cases deficits in the cognitive area, with processing speed (PS) being one of the affected variables. Therefore, the present study aims to: 1) compare the scores obtained in relation to the PS variable between students aged 6 to 11 with ASD and their peers with neurotypical development in Metropolitan Lima; and 2) establish the PS profile of the included students with ASD. For this, 30 children aged 6 to 11 attending to regular basic education institutions (RBE) in Metropolitan Lima were sampled, 15 with neurotypical development and 15 included with ASD. For the first objective, a case-control design (CCD) was used, while the second objective was a selective non-probabilistic cross-sectional design. Results showed a lower performance by the group wit...

This study analyzes the psychometric structure of the CAPE- R scale, which assesses the beliefs about the educational process in rural teachers; explores the teacher´s profile, and analyzes the significant differences between the beliefs according to sociodemographic variables. The sample included 150 rural teachers from Mendoza, Argentina. The exploratory factor analysis yielded a factorial structure made up of four factors that explained a 44.19% of the variance of responses to the test. Internal consistency coefficients ranged from .74 to .85. The data show a predominance of difficulties in the educational process dimension (M=2.83; DE=.69), the only dimension that reached a significant association with the educational level of the classes (F =4.77, p<.05).

Objective: To describe the valuation of podcasting as a tool in the learning process by dental students at a private university. Material and methods: The research was quantitative, descriptive, and non-experimental. The sample consisted of 47 students from a dental school. For the experience, articles in PDF format from the theoretical classes were recorded using conventional headphones and the application Spreaker REC®, a free application that was installed in a smartphone Iphone 8. The article in PDF format was processed, recorded and edited in less than 15 minutes using said application. Subsequently, the link was sent to the WhatsApp® group so the students could access the audio. The podcast could be repeated as many times as the student desired. Three podcasts were made. The information was collected through surveys using a Licker-type survey. Results: The 70.22% of the res...
