The physicochemical and biological indices have been used in isolation; if the parameters of these indices were applied in an integrated manner, they would bring together in a single measure the functional and structural variability of the biotic and abiotic components of water quality. The aim of this study was to build a comprehensive water quality index. Eleven sampling points were selected considering different degrees of agro-industrial intervention. 21 abiotic variables and 27 biological metrics were measured. Sugarcane occupies a large territorial scale in the world and is constantly searching for mechanisms to monitor nutrients in the crop production cycle, using non-destructive methods. The films can be obtained from renewable resources such as polysaccharides, proteins, and lipids. Potato starch is a polysaccharide found in abundance, low cost, biodegradable, edible, and can be obtained from agro-industrial waste. In the present study, biodegradable films were obtained from potato starch mixed with montmorillonite nanoclay (MMT) as crosslinking agent and glycerin as a plasticizer; and thus characterize properties such as: permeability to water vapor, solubility, thickness, functional groups by FTIR, analysis of the morphology by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and mechanical properties. 9 mixtures combining different proportions of glycerol (1, 1.5 and 2 ml) with montmorillonite nanoclay (MMT) (0, 0.03 and 0.05 g) were prepared.

Este proyecto se orientó al diseño e implementación de un sistema automatizado destinado a clasificar y recolectar granos de quinua en condiciones de laboratorio. Para ello se tomaron como criterios de diferenciación tanto el color (blanco, rojo y negro) como el tamaño (pequeño, mediano y grande). This study proposes an alternative biodegradable material for use with lettuce crops utilizing the bare-root hydroponic system, with the aim of functionally replacing expanded polystyrene, commonly used as a supporting material despite being a highly contaminating substance. This proposal is based on the production of individual pieces of floating material made from agro-industrial waste with an organic wax waterproof coating. The materials were produced in Quito, Ecuador, and the variables analyzed were hardness, compressive strength, flexural strength and microbiological contamination of the material during the vegetable growing period. Results showed that the alternative substrate with the greatest adaptability to the crops was made from a carnauba wax-coated palm fiber (Elaeis guineensis) blended with rice, in a ratio of 70%-30%, respectively.

La presente investigación propone una alternativa de material biodegradable para uso en cultivos en medios hidropónicos de lechuga mediante el sistema de producción a raíz desnuda, con el objetivo de sustituir funcionalmente al poliestireno expandido, utilizado de manera habitual como material de soporte, a pesar de ser un elemento altamente contaminante. La propuesta tiene base en la elaboración de módulos individuales de material flotante a partir de desechos agroindustriales con un recubrimiento impermeabilizante de cera orgánica. The objective of this research was to analyze the dynamics of entry, exit and survival of Peruvian agro-export companies, focusing on how their size affects their performance in international trade. In the quantitative approach study, export data was collected from 2012 to 2023 from the AZATRADE trade intelligence system. The data were processed in SPSS software. The analysis technique was the Kaplan-Meier indicator to evaluate the survival function of the companies. The results revealed a significant variability in the entry and exit of companies in the export market, with a marked increase in the entry of new companies in 2023. El objetivo fue comprender la importancia de dos tubérculos andinos orgánicos como Oxalis tuberosa Molina y Ullucus tuberosus Caldas, en cuanto a sus componentes benéficos para la salud humana, así como darle un valor agregado mediante una técnica ancestral, llamada comúnmente “chuño”, conocidos como caya y chullce en la región Huancavelica. Se revisaron bases de datos Science direct, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, PubMed, Scielo y Alicia, con una antigüedad de 20 años. Los resultados más relevantes se sistematizaron en tablas y se analizaron para resaltar las cualidades que ambos tubérculos tienen como producto fresco y, las posibilidades que puedan tener al convertirlos en productos agroindustriales que retienen sus propiedades funcionales.
