Background: Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are a public health problem and the programs to reduce their transmission are mostly addressed from the risk approach and not from a comprehensive intervention. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of a biographical-professional intervention program with cognitive behavioral techniques to reduce sexual risk behaviors in men who have sex with men (MSM). Method: A two-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design was used in the research. The first group consisted of MSM with an STD, nine of whom were in the experimental group and eight in the control group, whereas the second group consisted of MSM with no STD distributed into two groups of 11 men each. Antecedentes: Se evaluaron los efectos de los programas de entrenamiento basados en ejercicio (PEBE) en pacientes con cardiomiopatía chagásica crónica (CCC) mediante una revisión sistemática y un meta-análisis. Métodos: Se realizó una búsqueda en Pubmed/Medline, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Virtual Health Library y SciELO hasta enero de 2023. Se incluyeron ensayos controlados aleatorizados (ECA) y estudios de intervención no aleatorizados (EINR) que investigaron los efectos de los PEBE en pacientes con CCC. Este documento evalúa el impacto de un programa de crédito educativo sobre el tiempo necesario para concluir los estudios universitarios en una universidad grande en Perú. Los préstamos han sido entregados a estudiantes con bajos ingresos que muestran un desempeño académico satisfactorio. La decisión de aplicar o no por un préstamo depende de cada estudiante, por lo tanto el análisis de regresión simple podría fallar en la estimación de este impacto debido al problema del regresor endógeno. En este estudio se utiliza una aproximación de variables instrumentales, y se encuentra que los estudiantes con préstamos obtienen sus grados más rápidamente que similares estudiantes sin préstamo.

In the last decade the multicore processors had emerged with the comeback of the symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) after a long decade in which the based OpenMPI clusters had dominated the high performace processing world. Actually, we have in the market 2, 4 and 6 multicore processors; the Cell BE processors with a Power Processor Element (PPE) and 8 vectorial processors called Synergistic Processor Element (SPE), and graphics processors which have from 48 to 448 cores dedicated to numerical tasks. In the present work, we show our experience in the interaction with these processors, discussing the programming techniques and the future possibilities for making low cost numerical tasks.

At present, teaching programming to future teachers is superficial or is excluded from computer science curricular. Only programming fundamentals are taught during computer studies, and skills acquired during the training are not applied in practice. The aims of this article are 1) to develop a programming course for teacher training disciplines that are taught in training units of the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU), and 2) give recommendations to apply features of the programming language Python in the professional activities of future teachers. The sample was comprised by 15 residents of both sexes whose age was between 65 to 87 years old. The Psychological wellbeing scale by Díaz, Rodríguez, Blanco, Moreno, Gallardo, Valle & Van Dierendonck was used as instrument (2006). A way of solving them is to repeat more than once the same structures, just like traditional or imperative programming accustomed us to. This article explores the relationships among C++ templates, generic programming and the ability to develop statistics computations and generation of codes. This descriptive research examines the performance on reading comprehension of four gifted adolescents participating in a reading enrichment program. This performance is related to the variables associated to the gifted performance following the model developed by Mönks: motivation, creativity, high ability, school, peers and family. Results showed that school does not satisfy the cognitive needs of these students and it does not offer the required social support either. The family provides the main social support. The motivation, creativity, the high level of language and concentration of the participants facilitate learning. The reading program is described by the participants as motivating due to the subject-matters and methodology; furthermore, due to the opportunity to deal with peers who have a similar cognitive level.

Introduction: The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of treatment programs for cyberaddiction in children and adolescents. Material and Methods: Five databases were searched. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) or cohort studies that evaluated the efficacy of treatment programs for cyberaddiction in children and adolescents were selected. The primary outcome was a decrease in hours of Internet use. For the meta-analysis, the random effects model with inverse variance method was used. Results: Seven articles were identified and included in the systematic review (3 randomized controlled trials and 4 retrospective cohorts), with a total of 2396 participants. This article has been elaborated with the purpose of revising the teaching formation in service of the public school teachers, especially in Peru, helping to understand the teaching formation itself as a complex phenomenon, with multiple sides. The process of creation of the educational policies must be in accordance with plans that come after them. The politics and the programs of training argue, among their objectives, the possibility of transforming the practice in something better, the article analyzes the process to achieve the transformation. Additionally, a brief presentation of the program of teaching formation, implemented by the Ministry of Education in 2002, is shown.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a prosocial behavior program in a group of university students from a private university in Arequipa. The intentional sample consisted of 26 students with behaviors that violate rules. They were divided into two groups (experimental and control) and they were administered the Attitudes Towards the Practice of Moral Values test. The research was quasi-experimental and pre and post-test measurements were made before and after the application of the program. The results indicate that there were not significant differences between the experimental group and the control group, although there were significant differences between pre-test and post-test conditions.

Objective: To evaluate the internal validity of a health sciences graduate program curriculum. Materials and methods: A descriptive study using a documentary analysis of a public university’s Master of Education and Health Research Program. The internal validity was analyzed through the identification of professional profile indicators, subjects’ syllabi were rated, and the congruence in the curriculum map was assessed. Personality (alpha) and occupational (beta) indicators were considered. Descriptive statistics was performed using Microsoft Excel 2013. After briefly reviewing the requirements that hospitals must have programs to organize psychiatric residencies , the current state of psychiatric units Lima described the light of a survey taking into account the data of the Statistics Departments of the various nosocomios , responses to a questionnaire answered the caring staff from each service, and direct observations made by the author . Given the deficiencies , training plan , to be carried out over a period of three to five years , in order to give sufficient knowledge and experience, according to current trends , for adequate preparation of psychiatrists proposed to enable the candidate to be able to pass a capacity of two stages: basic science and clinical psychiatry. Introduction. Chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are the main cause of death in Ecuador and the world, and within them diabetes mellitus is one of the fastest growing morbidity and mortality. Objective. To determine if there are differences between the clinical characteristics before and after a diabetes reversal program in Ecuador. Methods.
