It is usual to think that between the historical processes of Peru and Mexico there are more similarities than differences. And, indeed, there are reasons to suppose that this is true: both were the cradle of the most developed cultures in the American continent until before the arrival of the Spaniards; later, the two became the most powerful viceroyalties of the Crown; they also followed a similar pattern in their dependent relationship with the international economy; In both territories there is a rich and diverse cultural heritage that, according to some discourses, will merge into a thriving miscegenation. Introducción: Las enfermedades cardiovasculares son la primera causa de muerte en el mundo, dichas enfermedades se pueden prevenir mediante el control de los factores de riesgo, donde destacan la obesidad, hipertensión, tabaquismo, sedentarismo y antecedentes familiares. Objetivo: Identificar el factor de riesgo cardiovascular más frecuente en los estudiantes universitarios. Material y métodos: Estudio comparativo, observacional, prospectivo y transversal; se realizó en 8 facultades de la Universidad Veracruzana Región Veracruz, divididas en dos grupos, el primero del área de Ciencias de la Salud y el Segundo de áreas mixtas; de cada facultad se estudiaron 43 alumnos, dando una muestra total de 344; se registraron los siguientes datos: antecedentes familiares, tabaquismo, actividad física y se obtuvieron valores como peso, talla, presión arterial y glucemia capilar. In this issue of Allpanchis we collect some of the papers presented at the IX Congress of ALER (Latin American Association for the Study of Religions), which took place at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru in 2002. The theme of the congress was "Religion and Ethnicity", with an emphasis on the Andean region, and was attended by researchers from Peru, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, the United States, Uruguay, among other Latin American and European countries.

Introduction: A systemic instrument is presented to measure the socioemotional network in relation to the partner and the person's perception of the impact of this intimate network on his or her partner for his or her classification. It is based on the idea that a nurtured social network brings positive benefits to one's nuclear partner. Self-presentation allows people to display the desired image to belong to different groups and feel good; for this reason, it is important to count with proper tools for its measurement. The present study aimed to adapt the Self-Presentation Tactics Scale (SPTS) in adults from Mexico City and the metropolitan area with 626 volunteers from 18 to 60 years old. Results showed a 7-factor scale (52 % of the explained variance), with a Cronbach's Alpha of .90 and with convergent evidence of validity as it was correlated with the Bolino and Turnley Impression Management Scale and the Social Approval Need Scale. In conclusion, there are validity and reliability evidence in support of the use of the STPS. This article explores some theoretical and procedural aspects of the Norwegian mediation in the Venezuelan internal crisis. Likewise, it tries to demonstrate that it is not a mediation of 2019 and another of 2021, but that it consists of a single mediation with a suspension, an interruption and a resumption. This mediation (legal term) or facilitation (political term) has been carried out to date, based in Mexico and with the Netherlands and Russia as accompanying countries.

In many texts written during the 16th century, both by those who were protagonists of the Conquest of Mexico-Tenochtitlan and by those who were not, they talk about the nature of the inhabitants of these lands, as well as their moral quality, form of life and practicing religion. Some of the objectives of such texts were to show the Old World the culture of the Nahuas, Mayans, Purépechas, among other indigenous groups, at the same time that they judged it as inferior, for ignoring, among other things, the Christian religion. Where can the descent and emergence of the discourse on the inferiority of human beings who lived in these lands before the arrival of “Western Christian humanism” be located and what effects does said discourse have in the present in the formation of some current forms of subjectivity? This is what I try to resolve in this text.

Algunas editoriales de centros de investigación se imponen, cada cierto tiempo, el desafío de publicar textos de difusión que —usando un lenguaje claro al limitar el uso de tecnicismos— sinteticen los últimos adelantos de las investigaciones científicas y los acerquen a un amplio número de lectores. Este es el caso de la colección Historias Mínimas publicada por El Colegio de México, uno de los proyectos editoriales recientes con más éxito. Siguiendo este ejemplo, entre otros, el Instituto de Estudios Peruanos ha lanzado su colección de historias mínimas de los departamentos del Perú, siendo el primer volumen la Historia mínima de Arequipa, escrito al alimón por Mario Meza y Víctor Condori.

La obesidad es un problema de salud pública que afecta a más de 604 millones de adultos globalmente, con una prevalencia creciente. Según el informe del estudio Global Burden Disease - 2019, la obesidad genera la pérdida de 160 millones de años vividos y causa cerca de 5 millones de muertes anuales, con una tasa de mortalidad de 63/100000 habitantes. Se proyecta un aumento del 42,7% en las defunciones atribuibles a obesidad en la próxima década, destacando la urgencia de abordar este problema de manera efectiva.
