In view of the need to improve course descriptions, the most recent graduate classes of initial training of Preschool Teachers at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona have been studied in order to gain insight on the status of the student assessment systems. The methodology used was qualitative using focus groups of teachers and graduates of the last four classes (2007-2011). The results show similar perceptions regarding coherence among the different course program items and the transparency of the assessment methods applied. Some different perceptions have been noticed in respect to the instruments used, the feedback provided and the cognitive abilities more frequently assessed. The study concludes that it is essential that all teaching guides show coherence in the various items; that the students have an early knowledge of the assessments, in a clear and transparent manner; that self an...

O artigo tem como objetivo analisar as metáforas utilizadas por diretores e professores de duas instituições de ensino sobre a organização escolar. A abordagem da pesquisa foi qualitativa. Uma das conclusões a que se chegou é que em ambas as instituições de ensino a organização é considerada como garantidora e guardiã da aprendizagem dos alunos e do desenvolvimento profissional de professores e gestores; e que as metáforas utilizadas para explicar a realidade escolar dão conta da organização da instituição de ensino, dos professores, dos gestores e dos tempos de desenvolvimento dos diferentes processos.

El artículo tiene como objetivo analizar las metáforas que emplean directoras y docentes de dos instituciones educativas sobre la organización escolar. La investigación se abordó desde un enfoque cualitativo. Una de las conclusiones que arrojó es que en ambas instituciones educativas se considera la organización como el garante y vigilante del aprendizaje de los estudiantes y del desarrollo profesional de docentes y directivos; y que las metáforas empleadas para explicar la realidad escolar dan cuenta de la organización de la institución educativa, del profesorado, de los directivos y de los tiempos de desarrollo de los distintos procesos.

Este artículo presenta un análisis sobre las posibilidades de formar al profesorado de educación básica en relación con el contexto en el que desarrolla su labor profesional.Para ello, se parte de una revisión conceptual sobre el vínculo entre educación ycomunidad con la finalidad de explicar las características de los procesos formativosque se llevan a cabo desde una visión comunitaria, así como sus implicaciones. Apartir de este análisis se establecen algunas orientaciones sobre los aspectos a considerar en la formación del profesorado en este sentido, destacando una visión sistémica de la educación, dentro de la cual los factores escolares y los del entorno se relacionan, y en la que el profesor es un agente en continuo aprendizaje.

The work values an innovation with ICT in pre professional practice in teacher training. Six quasi experimental instances were organized in which didactic trainers wi th students carried out analysis and reflection on 360 ° film units. Three non participant observations were carried out on these instances, surveys (n = 39), seven semi structured interviews and a documentary study of six productions by the participants ( teachers and students). They valued the devices (film units) for constituting a low risk learning environment, fostering collaboration among students, and adapting to their available times. The devices generated constitute a learning tool that acquires val ue more for the didactic intervention that is carried out with them, than for t heir technical characteristics.

The following research originates within the study of educational quality as an indispensable component of the education rights that every human person possesses, and the shaping mission that every university is assigned with. Hence, the connection between the academic results of university students and the teaching preparation of its faculty staff has been researched. Addressed factors include; gender, age, academic preparation, professional experience of the professors, and the students’ perception of the professors’ performance.

La presente investigación tiene origen en el estudio de la calidad educativa como componente imprescindible del derecho a la educación que posee toda persona humana y de la misión formadora que se le encarga a la institución universitaria. Por ello, se ha investigado la relación entre los resultados académicos de los estudiantes universitarios y la formación docente de su profesorado. Los factores abordados comprenden: sexo, edad, formación académica, experiencia profesional de los docentes y la percepción de los estudiantes sobre el desempeño de los mismos.

This article presents an analysis about teacher’s education possibilities regardingtheir professional context in elementary education. For this, a conceptual reviewabout relationship between education and community is explained. In this analysis,the educational processes’ characteristics from this perspective are highlighted, aswell as their implications. Subsequently, some guidelines about teacher’s education from this view are exposed and a systemic approach of education are presented taking into account educational factors inside and outside the school, as well as the teacher as an agent who learns permanently.
