lt has been studied the batch sedimentation of aqueous suspensions of precipitated calcium carbonate, barium sulphate and lead oxide , in vertical thickeners of rectangular and circular cross sectional area. Suspensions vary in concentration between 19.4 and 617.9 g/I and the rate of sedimentation obtained between 0.008 and 7.70 cm/min. The effect of the specific gravity of the solid on the rate of sedimentation is the same for all the suspensions, that is, the greater the value of the specific gravity the greater the value of rate of sedimentation.

Objective: To describe the characteristics of arterial hypertension and the quality of care received,in inhabitants of vulnerable villages in Angola. Methodology: Observational, descriptive and crosssectionalstudy in 113 representatives of families from the Candundu / São Pedro, Elumbi and Sanjimbivillages. The qualitative variables were exposed using absolute and relative percentage frequencytables; while for the quantitative variables means and standard deviation were used. The purpose of this paper is to think about the dynamics betweensocial labour relationships and the religious believes in Peruvianmining on the basis of anthropological analysis of data collectedamong Julcani miners (Huancavelica) and Canta artisanal miners(Sierra of Lima) . Julcani miners are observed in two differentsocioeconomic contexts, one of modernization and technologicaldevelopment, and another of mine closure. Canta artisanal minersare also observed in two different periods, one before and the otherafter the installation in the zone of a mineral trade company. It canbe stated that the apparition of «evil» believes in miner’s religioussystem corresponds to the expansion and intensification of capitalistlabour relationships.

Objective: To determine the level of knowledge and perception of settlers of Lima, Peru on sepsis during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried-out using electronic survey among Lima settlers above 18 years of age from December 2020 and April 2021. We excluded health care workers. Results: 289 surveys were conducted; mean age of participants was 38±15 years; 63% were females; 64% had heard about sepsis; 63% had the perception that sepsis was potentially lethal; 18% did not know about it; 8% said that it is a severe inflammation and 7% responded that it is an allergic reaction. Fifty three percent did not know that COVID-19 could lead to sepsis but 68% knew that sepsis may cause mortality. One of the most important transformations of contemporary Administrative Law Penalties is the one related to the openness to cooperation with private actors, considering that one of its expressions is the commitment to cease.In this academic paper, the author realizes a theoretical approach on the legal concept of concerted administration regarding penalties, and analyzes its regulation within sectoral rules. Finally, he offers some criticisms of the use of this concept by the public administration.

From the policies aimed at preserving native herbs in the second half of the 19th century to the dissemination of introduced herbs at the beginning of the 20th, the colonization of the present-day Argentine province of Misiones was closely linked to yerba mate. After the War of the Triple Alliance (1865-1870), the national government became more aware of the strategic location of Misiones and expanded its knowledge of the bountiful natural resources the province possessed. This led to the creation of the National Territory of Misiones in 1881 and the implementation of government policies for the colonization of the area by European immigrants.

It is known the case of the public attorneys that, having the opportunity to settle a controversy aroused between the public entity and the contractor, prefer to submit that dispute to arbitration with higher costs that this decision cause to the State. The reason? The concern of having «the reasonableness of his decision to settle the dispute» subjected to an administrative responsibility procedure.This paper aims to discuss this problem and analyze a possible solution. Thus, taking into consideration the Colombian experience and the recent Peruvian regulation in the «Reglamento de la Ley de APPs», the authors suggest to include in the «Nueva Ley de Contrataciones del Estado» the «Amicable Compositor» as a mechanism of alternative dispute resolution.

In this research we progress towards a more specific understanding about republican slavery forms, social resistance experiences of the slaved and freed black population, and practice of the abolitionist system carried out in a situation of building up the republic in a regional space: the province of Piura. Through case studies, we examine the path that afro-descendants assumed using laws and social force of their representatives in the courts to destroy the chains that oppressed them under the new creole republic. Objectives: Identify the fear of COVID-19 in residents of a Human Settlement in Puente Piedra, Lima. Materials and methods: This research was developed from a quantitative approach, its design was descriptive-transversal. The population consisted of 500 participants. The data collection technique was the survey and the measurement instrument was the COVID-19 Fear Scale (FCV-19S), which consists of 7 items and 2 dimensions. Results: Regarding the participants, men represent 45.4% (n = 227) and women 54.6% (n = 273). In relation to fear of COVID-19, the high level prevailed with 58% (n = 209), followed by the middle of the medium level in 21.8% (n = 109) and low with 20.2% (n = 101). El trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar el nivel de Felicidad en los pobladores del distrito de Villa el Salvador; utilizando la Escala de Felicidad de Lima; la misma que fue aplicada a 78 personas, cuyas edades son de 18 a 77 años, utilizando para la investigación un diseño de tipo Descriptivo no experimental, donde el resultado en categorías encontrados en el nivel de Felicidad es de “Muy baja”; y con un porcentaje de 6.41%; correspondiente a la categoría “Media”. Se ha estudiado la sedimentación discontinua de suspensiones acuosas de carbonato de calcio precipitado, de sulfato de barío, y de óxido de plomo en sedimentadores inclinados de sección transversal circular y rectangular. El énguio de inclinación, con respecto a la horizontal, fluctúa entre 35º y 75º, para suspensiones que varian en concentracíón entre 39.4 y 1070 g/l.Las velocidades aparentes de sedimentación obtenidas fluctúan entre 0,071 y 17,6 cm/min. la velocidad aparente de sedimentación se ha correlacionado usando una versión modificada de la ecuación de Nakamura y Kuroda (1), ver arriba.

Experimental results are presented adaptive control with reference model of a plant according to your previously made identification can be represented as a first order system. Is chosen as the reference model also one of the first order with unity gain. Adaptive controller analysis is performed, justifying its performance in closed loop depends on the proper choice of a scale parameter adjustable. The controller is implemented and temporary plant responses to step inputs for different kinds of adjustable parameter values are recorded.
