This article presents a multimodal discourse analysis of Uruguayan ecoinfluencers active in one of the most popular social networks in the region from the environmental communication perspective, it attempts to determine which environmentalisms are important in the public digital conversation. Moreover, it analyzes the environmental discourse of a sample consisting of 200 Instagram posts from 17 influencers, created between June 2021 and June 2022. The environmental challenges and their possible responses are predominantly located in the individual lifestyle sphere, with consumers as protagonists, and ecoefficiency is considered as the environmentalism that best synthesizes the attitudes and proposed actions. The “right” to the disconnection is a statement built from the dogmatic point of view, rather than normative. In fact, there are few legal systems that have enshrined a “right” to disconnection. In addition, disconnection has a close link with working time, rest time, health and safety at work, as well as influencing the so-called conciliation between private or personal life and work. Climate change is a current problem that challenges public communication due to its complex scientific nature. These local socio-political, discursive, cultural and demographic interrelations interfere with public communication due to particular emotional conditions that intervene in the perception and interpretation of the problem. The framing of the news by journalists, when it addresses the specific conditions for communicating about climate change, can influence interest and understanding of the topic. To describe the treatment carried out by the press in Uruguay, exploratory research with content analysis was carried out on a sample of articles published in 2023 in which the applied frameworks were identified and analysed. In the 1990s, several Latin American countries privatized their social security schemes to a greater or lesser extent. The main reason for these reforms was the dearth of public PAYG systems. As yet, here is no consensus on how these reforms stand to affect pensions. We focus on the Uruguayan case, where the first generations of the new regime are due to retire soon. Some workers will receive lower pensions than those with similar income and labor histories but who retired under the «transitional» regime. Meanwhile, others will receive higher pensions. We present simulations to help understand the specifics of the problem and identify potential winners and losers.

Although the Bona Fides principle may appear to be an ambiguous or inconclusive definition at first instance, examination of its correct applicability is considerably relevant when determining a standard of conduct for taxpayers. Indeed, it is peaceful to recognise the transversality the Bona Fides has among all fields of the legal system. However, the question of its integrated realisation in tax law remains unresolved. In this paper, the author recommends some categories to analyse the values that inspire the principle in practice. To achieve this, the settled case law of the Uruguayan Administrative Dispute Tribunal (TCA in Spanish) is accurately revised and compared with legal literature to attain some carefully thought-out conclusions.

A case of social construction of the future in a Uruguayan public sector organization is analyzed.The original problem was the need for investments to expand energy infrastructure, with an impact on the satisfaction of demand for social and industrial purposes at a national level. To establish the baseline and measure progress, an organizational ambidexterity model was used.Prospective methodologies were applied to formulate the desired scenario and two hypotheses were proposed for its construction: 1) a particular leadership is required, 2) specific tools are needed to articulate collaboration between actors. This article analyzes the introduction of the civil penalty in Uruguay as a legal mechanism to protect copyrights in Uruguayan law, focusing on the legal grounds and criteria for its establishment. The central idea is that the difficulties of proving consequential damages or lost profits justify determining compensation as the obligation to pay the hypothetical royalty (the cost the infringer would have paid if they had obtained permission from the right holder).
