We compute the integral of monomials of the form x^2β over the unit sphere and the unit ball in R^n where β = (β1, . . . , βn) is a multi–index with real components βk > −1/2, 1 ≤ k ≤ n, and discuss their asymptotic behavior as some, or all, βk → ∞. This allows for the evaluation of integrals involving circular and hyperbolic trigonometric functions over the unit sphere and the unit ball in Rn. We also consider the Fourier transform of monomials xα restricted to the unit sphere in Rn, where the multi–indices α have integer components, and discuss their behaviour at the origin.

Context: The facial subunit principle organizes the facial skin into subunits. Facial reconstruction for skin cancer based on aesthetic units consists of replacing the entire subunit when a large part of a subunit has been removed. Aims: To determine the prevalence of facial skin cancer, their location by facial aesthetic units, and the type of facial reconstruction used in each of them. Settings and Design: An observational cross-sectional study was conducted at the Head and Neck Surgery Service of a general hospital between 2017 and 2018. Materials and Methods: A population census was conducted during this period. Statistical Analysis Used: The categorical variables were expressed as frequencies (percentages). Continuous variables were described as the means and standard deviations or medians and interquartile ranges. Results: The most common skin cancer was basal cell skin cancer, fol...

The text analyzes the constitutional evolution of abortion in the United States, highlighting the change initiated with Griswold v. Connecticut (1965), where the Supreme Court recognized a “right to privacy” not explicit in the Constitution. It is argued that this doctrine was the basis for the Roe v. Wade decision (1973), where it was established that a woman's right to have an abortion is part of that right to privacy, subordinating the protection of the fetus until viability (last trimester). In this line, the Court affirmed that the fetus is not a constitutionally protected “person” and that the rights of the unborn ‘child’ (seen as “potential life”) are always inferior to those of the mother. On the other hand, the author compares Roe v. Wade with the Dred Scott case (1857), which also denied rights to a human group - African Americans - asserting that both rulings e...

The paper analyzes U.S. jurisdiction, highlighting how courts assume jurisdiction in disputes involving citizens or entities of other countries. In the U.S. system, jurisdiction depends on the State where the dispute occurs, which often requires the intervention of courts in different States or countries. In this regard, the two classic methods of securing jurisdiction are explained: on the one hand, “in personam” jurisdiction, which refers to jurisdiction over persons; on the other, “in rem” jurisdiction, which deals with property within the state; and, as a third and developing basis, “quasi in rem” jurisdiction, used in some exceptional cases, is discussed. Finally, the importance of “due process” in ensuring fairness in trials is noted, and the doctrine of “forum non conveniens,” which allows courts to dismiss cases for convenience if another forum is more appropr...

The phenomenon of cultural globalization has also brought the concept of human rights to all corners of the earth. Thus, the development achieved by peoples thanks to technology could make possible human promotion bringing prosperity to many regions and, therefore, to all families, including the poorest. This is a concern of experts and politicians who have planned continental and world-wide efforts to overcome long-standing problems such as poverty, disease, and illiteracy. Although 2015, a date marked by the Millennium Goals, failed to achieve the proposed goals, it served to prepare the 2030 AGENDA, whereby States have renewed their commitments to make possible a new world for coming generations. We are confident that the new approaches, accompanied by realistic budgets, will make such goals possible.

The behavior of the terminal velocity of gas-liquid compound drops was studied experimentally. The eect of the size of the internal bubble was analyzed, covering a wide range of relative sizes. The bubble signicantly increased the buoyancy eects, particularly for denser external uids. The terminal velocity increases with the size of the internal bubble, suggesting that the motion is governed by the geometry of the compound drop. A mechanistic model was proposed, and it showed a good agreement with the measurements.

One of the resources speakers of Spanish and other languages usually employ in the communication process, especially in the oral aspect, is that of phraseologicaJ units (PU). Among these units, some like metaphors, idioms or paremias (sayings, proverbs, idioms, quotations, maxims, adages, aphorisms, slogans) are frequently used in situations of real or natural (colloquial) conversation, no matter what the topic of communication is. These units studied by lexicography occur, practically, in all natural languages, as shown by our bibliographic research, as well as by our collection of synchronic oral data. The Spanish language used in Peru also presents these units, which have fixed, complex structures, and some, such as idioms, topic of the present article, have a lexical value, and, as such, perform syntactic functions in their relationship with other simple linguistic units.

We present the case of nosocomial myiasis, which occurred in a Peruvian hospital, whose etiological agent was identified as Cochliomyia hominivorax, associated with an 82-year-old patient who was admitted to an intensive care unit, due to acute respiratory failure type I, and sepsis due to abscess hepatic, which underwent intubation to provide assisted mechanical ventilation. On the third day of admission to the ICU, multiple mature larvae were observed in the oral cavity. The treatment consisted of the manual extraction of the larvae, and ivermectin therapy at a rate of 0,2 milligrams per kilogram of weight with favorable response. One month after being diagnosed with myiasis. The patient died of complications of hepatic sepsis and pneumonia.

The dosage Chorionic Gonadotropin, following the technique of Mainini Galli, is a simple and quick laboratory test, others whose clinical significance is emphasized. To perform the dosoie Chorionic Gonadotropin, following the above technique, it is necessary to know the minimum dose capable of producing positive biological response in the male toad. 1 The values given in this figure, the different authors vary, and this variation is due to: a) At the low number of animals used. b) the different techniques employed. c) For the different patterns used. d) In the absence of a threshold value. We have tried to eliminate this potential error, to determine the Frog Macho (Bufo spinolosus limensis) of Lima and vicinity, the minimum dose capable of producing positive biological response using 420 animals, using as standards all commercial products Gonadotropin Chorionic that there are exac...

We are currently witnessing a crisis in the international liberal order, a system that has governed relationships among global actors for nearly eight decades. This order has been built upon key principles such as economic openness, multilateralism, security cooperation, and democratic solidarity. Originating as a framework largely confined to the Western world during the Cold War era, it has since become the dominant global paradigm following the events of 1991. The establishment of the United States as a major power played a pivotal role in shaping this order, along with its leadership in constructing governance institutions in collaboration with other liberal democracies. This article aims to analyze the evolution of the international liberal order, focusing on the various stages of its development. By examining the foreign policy and exercise of power by the United States, we seek to...

What is the relationship between parenting styles and bullying in an Ecuadorian educational unit? 123 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 15 participated, who were in the 8th to 10th year of higher basic education. Quantitative, observational and correlational research. Use of two instruments: Perception of Parenting Styles Questionnaire and Bullying and School Violence Scale. The medium level predominated in most parenting styles (between 49.6 and 82.9%); as well as the category not found in the data related to bullying (between 47.2 and 74.8%). There was a significant correlation (p<0.05), directly proportional and with a weak to moderate intensity (Rho from 0.193 to 0.351) of the hostile parenting style in both parents with bullying.
