In this paper we discuss the active learning approach that has been spread in university classrooms in relation to its pedagogical predecessors, particularly the New European School movement and the American Progressive Education. This relationship allows us to understand the array of teaching-learning methods used today at university under a historical perspective, including differences with its predecessors. Particularly, we will discuss the difference between active methods and the more general concept of active pedagogy, which implies an educational philosophy more radically centered on the students. This enables us to outline possible evolution lines in the practice of active pedagogy at university.

Academic activism in health research seeks to promote equity and social justice with participating communities. A bilateral relationship between academia and communities is reached when knowledge is developed from the participants and for the participants. The aim of this article is to discuss strategies to use academic activism in community health research. We propose several strategies: the researchers’ reflexivity and positionality; the engagement of stakeholders; the immersion of the researcher in the field; and the development and transfer of knowledge. We focus the discussion on the transformative power of academic activism and its key elements that community researchers can consider. Digital media has become a fundamental part of today's communication, and video activism is no stranger to this. This research analyzes the video “Elecciones generales 2da vuelta”, by the digital animator POLOVERDE ART, from a sociological perspective. This piece of digital activism, uploaded to YouTube, satirically narrates the political-electoral situation in Peru during 2021. This article seeks to delve into the relations of power and counter-power embodied in this video, investigating the video's comments on the platform. This paper investigates the relationship between fandoms and political participation in Argentina. In order to do this, a qualitative approach to Harry Potter’s fandom in the country was carried out through a case studies analysis, focusing on the Circulo de Lectores de Harry Potter and quidditch, recovering previous research by the authors. The article proposes that belonging to a fandom can promote or accompany political and social activism and that the appropriation and creative adaptation of narratives by fans promote positioning in current debates that exceed their object of interest. Likewise, the article proposes that the spaces related to the fandom are safe places in which affinity and activism come together. Finally, it highlights that the feminist agenda impacts the Harry Potter fandom the most.

Judicial activism has generated intense debates about its scope and limits within constitutional democracies, especially in Latin America. This article examines the Peruvian experience, where the Constitutional Court has developed a practice that directly influences the configuration and reform of public policies. Through the analysis of five emblematic judgments – on prison overcrowding, the right to identity, public health, family planning and a gender perspective – the ways in which judicial activism has operated as a corrective mechanism in the face of legislative and administrative omissions are evidenced. This article analyzes the relationship between the globalization crisis, the end of the political cycle and new activisms in Argentina. It argues that the internationalization of the effects of the 2008 crisis failed the attempt by the Argentine government of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner (2012-2015) to implement its new development model, thus paving the way for the triumph of a center-right alliance in the country. The article describes how, even in an adverse context, feminist activism emerged in Argentina, led by the Ni Una Menos movement, and discusses its use of the strike repertoire, emphasizing innovative elements in the appropriation of this classist tool of struggle. Finally, it points out the possibilities and limits of the movement, suggesting questions for future research.

O objetivo do artigo é investigar os vínculos entre fandoms e participação política a partir de experiências localizadas na Argentina. Para isso, realizamos uma abordagem qualitativa do fandom de Harry Potter nesse país, por meio de uma análise de estudos de caso: o Círculo de Lectores de Harry Potter e o esporte quadribol, recuperando pesquisas anteriores dos autores. Defendemos que a pertença ou ligação a um fandom pode promover ou acompanhar o ativismo político e social, e que a apropriação e adaptação criativa da história por parte dos fãs promovem posicionamentos em debates atuais que ultrapassam o seu objeto de interesse. The aim of this study was to observe the relationship between the intention to be physically active and the after-school physical activity among 408 schoolchildren. The Previous Day Physical Activity Recall (PDPAR) was administered to measure physical activity, while the Intention to be Physically Active Scale (MIFA) was administered to measure the intention to be physically active. The results showed a significant association between the intention to be active and the average time involved in after-school physical activity from moderate to vigorous intensity in males and females. Physical activity levels increase as the intention to be active increases.

Locating sites dehydrogenase activity in the different structures of the human ovary, were studied by incubating tissue fragments Neotetrazolium succinate. The results showed: 1.-Mcderada dehydrogenase activity in the stroma. 2.-dehydrogenase activity in the follicular and theca cells of the developing follicle, rising rapidly with luteinization. 3.- No evidence-dehydrogenase activity in bodies found albicans. This method of dehydrogenase activity is related to the assumptions sisters production sites in the ovary, as well as a more general test of cell proliferation.

In our country, within the framework of the application of Legislative Decree 1044, the State’s business activity may constitute an act of unfair competition in the modality of violation of rules, provided that this activity of the State has not been developed as established in Article 60 of our Constitution. INDECOPI, through its various pronouncements, has developed criteria to address this problem. Mobile telecoms operators possess an enormous quantity of data, which could be used to reduce the cost of installing new infrastructure, to provide a better QoS or to plan their infrastructure. Thus, they are concerned to model, understand and predict SMS and calls activity levels in their infrastructures. Besides, SMS and call activities analysis can open new business opportunities for geomarketing as well as trade area analysis. In the present effort, we detected activity zones with a difference of only 0.5 km from the reference activity areas extracted from Geo-tweets. We also used Markov chains to represent and predict SMS and call activity levels, achieving a prediction success rate between 80% and 90%.
