Based on an analysis of the struggles of the Nahua peoples of Milpa Alta in Mexico City, this article addresses the following question: How has it been possible to conserve large extensions of forest and agricultural land in a demarcation that is part of one of the largest cities in the world, in rapid expansion since the middle of the last century? The explanation articulates two key categories: reconfigured communality in Milpa Alta through historical struggles that continue to unfold to date; and the social metabolism of human-nature exchanges mediated by the work of various agencies, whose projects come into conflict at different times. Este artículo propone una reflexión sobre la percepción del tráfico y las representaciones de la ciudad de México a través del discurso de la radio y de la llamada Red Vial. Este trabajo forma parte de una investigación sobre el sentido social de los medios de comunicación y sobre la formación de opinión pública en el proceso de recepción del mensaje radial, en particular de los programas llamados de "opinión pública". Nuestra reflexión se enmarca en las inquietudes recientes de sociólogos y antropólogos por entender la mega ciudad, como un objeto complejo que tiene ya muy poco en común con la que, grosso modo, podemos llamar la "ciudad" industrial" moderna del siglo pasado.

En ciudades localizadas en campos volcánicos activos, el geopatrimonio cumple una función social muy importante en la construcción de resiliencia ante los peligros naturales. Sin embargo, este tipo de patrimonio es comúnmente desconocido por los citadinos, poco valorizado y por tanto altamente deteriorado o sometido a una fuerte presión urbanística (Vereb et al. 2020). Una manera de conservar este geopatrimonio y hacerlo conocer a sus habitantes es a través de los geositios urbanos que preservan elementos claves de la identidad de una ciudad, son herramientas para educar a un amplio sector de la población sobre los fenómenos naturales, además cumplen con ciertas funciones ecosistémicas y pueden servir de sitios de recreación y de bienestar (Reynard et al. 2017; Vereb et al. 2020; Guilbaud et al. 2021).

Folletos and other kinds of printed matter, such as loose sheets or volantes, played a leading role in the emerging political struggles of the nineteenth century. In recent years, interest in studying print culture of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century has motivated numerous essays in Latin American fields on different aspects of the subject. This article seeks to highlight the transformation which folletos and their contents experienced in the late colonial period and, consequently, the prominent role that these documents had in the intense debate that characterized the political contests of the early decades of independent Mexico.

La presente ponencia versa sobre la situación de las asociaciones seglares de la capital novohispana (cofradías, terceras órdenes, congregaciones y hermandades) ante las reformas propias del período borbón que se enfocaron en controlarlas y mejorar su administración. Partimos de una crítica a la historiografía mexicana que ha estudiado el tema a partir de observar las reformas borbónicas como causa de la aparente extinción de este tipo de asociaciones, haciendo hincapié en los estudios revisionistas que apuntan a que estas corporaciones no desaparecieron en su totalidad, sino que hicieron uso de determinados mecanismos de resistencia o bien de adaptación que les permitieron subsistir hasta bien entrado el siglo XIX, contraponiéndose así a la idea de su extinción. The relationships go through different situations that can generate instability and upsets or conflicts between the members of the couple, which impact on it, favoring dissatisfaction, frustration or even the end of the relationship, greatly affecting the health and well-being of the person. Based on this, the objective of this study was to know the relationship among the conflict reasons and importance with health and satisfaction with the relationship. To this end, we worked with 240 people (50% women and 50% men), aged between 18 and 75 years who were in one of the four stages of the couple’s cycle: development, maintenance with small children, maintenance with older children and dissolution.

Este texto es un acercamiento a la valoración estudiantil de la situación de pandemia, confinamiento, y de manera particular la educación a distancia. El objetivo es conocer las actitudes de las y los jóvenes universitarios en torno a las nuevas formas de enseñanza aprendizaje, sin perder de vista su estado de ánimo, pensar y sentir sobre el contexto sanitario y social. Para conseguir este objetivo se cuenta con descripciones solicitadas por escrito a treinta estudiantes, sobre su valoración de la situación del entorno, lo que pensaban y lo que sentían. Respecto a la educación a distancia los estudiantes declaran satisfacción por seguir estudiando y frustración por el distanciamiento social. Se ponen también de manifiesto dificultades del uso masivo e intensivo de la tecnología digital, y la insistencia de regresar a la escuela.

Pandemia, confinamiento y educación a distancia: una valoración universitaria en la Ciudad de México

This text is an approach to the student's assessment of the situation the pandemic, confinement, and in particular way distance education. The objective is to know the attitudes of young university students regarding new forms of teaching-learning, without losing sight of their state of mind, thinking and feeling about the health and social context. To achieve this objective, there are written descriptions requested from thirty students about their assessment of the surrounding situation, what they thought and what they felt. Regarding distance education, students declare satisfaction for continuing to study and frustration for social distancing. Difficulties of the massive and intensive use of digital technology, and the insistence to return to school are also revealed.
