La muestra del estudio está integrada por 70 estudiantes, que cumplimentaron con los cuestionarios Inventario de Depresión de Beck (BDI-II) y Escala de autovaloración de la Ansiedad. Se aplicó un cuestionario conformado por 41 preguntas la cuales fueron evaluadas a través de la escala de Likert, dicho cuestionario se aplicó en una Universidad de Cajamarca. Existe una relación directa entre la depresión y la ansiedad, al determinar el Coeficiente de correlación de Pearson (0.239). A un nivel de significancia bilateral es p=0.006 < 0.05; se rechaza la hipótesis nula y acepta la hipótesis alterna. El nivel de depresión un 91% (64) se encuentran dentro de los límites normales, el 7% (5) presentan un desorden emocional y un 1% (1) presentan un nivel de depresión situacional. El nivel de ansiedad el 99% (69) se encuentran dentro de los límites normales, el 1% (4) presentan un nivel de Ansiedad Moderada.

The study sample is made up of 70 students, who completed the questionnaires Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) and Anxiety Self-Assessment Scale. A questionnaire consisting of 41 questions was applied which were evaluated through the Likert scale, this questionnaire was applied in a University of Cajamarca. There is a direct relationship between depression and anxiety, when determining the Pearson Correlation Coefficient (0.239). At a level of bilateral significance is p=0.006 < 0.05; the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternate hypothesis is accepted. The level of depression 91% (64) are within normal limits, 7% (5) have an emotional disorder and 1% (1) have a level of situational depression.
