En el Perú, el arte, la tradición y la arquitectura han sido, desde la concepción de las primeras civilizaciones que ocuparon esta parte del continente, una pieza clave para la gestación del orgullo de cada ciudadano peruano. En los últimos años, la gastronomía se convirtió en ese vínculo invisible generador de prosperidad, identidad y sentido de pertenencia. Además, de una herramienta económica sólida, de promoción hacia el exterior y de comunicación con grandes alcances que generan muchas expectativas en todo el mundo. El arte culinario peruano tiene una gran demanda, por su exquisita calidad, a nivel nacional e internacional. Por lo que cada año su importancia crece más. Por la actualidad que se vive en el Perú con relación al tema es muy probable que para el Bicentenario la gastronomía haya alcanzado los niveles esperados.

In Peru, art, tradition and architecture have been, since the beginning of the earliest civilizations that inhabited this part of the continent, a key part in creating a sense of pride for every Peruvian citizen. In the last few years gastronomy has become an invisible generator of prosperity, identity and a sense of belonging. Furthermore, it is a powerful economic tool and is promoted in foreign countries with far reaching results that generate expectations world-wide. Peruvian culinary art is in high demand at both national and international levels due to its exceptional quality, and therefore its importance grows every year.
