En ese sentido el Nuevo Mercado Central del Callao es un proyecto cuya toma de partido responde a su entorno directo a la vez que, al contexto metropolitano, la obra se plantea como un espacio flexible y permeable que mejora la continuidad del funcionamiento del mercado y que incorpora las diversas necesidades programáticas y funcionales de un mercado del siglo XXI. El primer acercamiento de la ciudadanía con una obra es a partir de las fachadas y allí es que la reinterpretación de la fachada anterior, con las variables de ritmo, proporción historia e identidad, hacen que la obra aparezca como suerte de actualización natural del inmueble. Finalmente la variable de permeabilidad aterriza en la toma de partido que incorporar una alameda principal de manera diagonal y que atraviesa todo el inmueble y estructura el recorrido principal, toda vez que invita desde el exterior a ingresar y que por contraste con la volumetría que se aprecia desde el exterior, ofrece una experiencia de sorpresa al usuario al dar paso a una espacialidad de escala monumental que termina estando contenida por una cobertura curva y con diversidad de colores influenciado por los colores del mercado.

However, there are human and environmental aspects that, although addressed, should always be the starting point for the work. In this sense, the New Central Market of Callao is a project whose side responds to its direct environment while, in the metropolitan context, the work is conceived as a flexible and permeable space that improves the continuity of the market's functioning and that incorporates the diverse programmatic and functional needs of a 21st century market. The first approach of citizens with a work is from the facades and it is there that the reinterpretation of the previous facade, with the variables of rhythm, proportion, history and identity, make the work appear as a kind of natural update of the property.
