El proyecto se enfoca a los turistas que busquen disfrutar los beneficios curativos y de relajación del agua termal, el complejo cuenta también con espacios accesibles a la población, dando un adecuando y equitativo aprovechamiento al preciado recurso termal. El proyecto brinda espacios de relajación, sanación y descanso, a través de un planteamiento fiel en su forma y concepción a la arquitectura cajamarquina ancestral; y acorde en su función y bondades con los conceptos y estándares de la cultura termal de primer nivel. Se realizó un profundo análisis de los antecedentes y evolución de la cultura y arquitectura termal a través del tiempo. Se investigó la integración de la medicina convencional y la medicina alternativa y cómo la arquitectura al estar inmersa en la naturaleza, influyen en recuperación y sensación del bienestar del usuario. Para determinar el mejor emplazamiento del proyecto se estudió y comparó las regiones del país que poseen aguas termales. Además, se analizó proyectos que brindan los servicios similares a fosforecidos en el complejo a nivel nacional, en Cuzco y Arequipa, y a nivel internacionales, en Sudamérica y Europa. Se estudió también la arquitectura ancestral de la ciudad, centro histórico, y la campiña, vivienda popular, en la provincia de Cajamarca. Cabe destacar (i) los conceptos y recorridos termales materializados en una secuencia de espacios planteados en el sector termal (ii) los conceptos extraídos del “Healing environment” planteados en los ambientes de relajación y descanso; y (iii) los conceptos extraídos del análisis de “Vivienda popular en Cajamarca” – Arq. Jorge Burga, utilizados como lineamientos para definir la toma de partido y plástica arquitectónica del proyecto. Además, se otorgó protagonismo también a la naturaleza debido a que el proyecto está localizado en un entorno de riqueza natural que se encuentra en peligro por el crecimiento urbano desmedido. |

The project provides spaces for relaxation, body-healing, and rest, through a faithful approach in its form and conception of ancestral Cajamarca architecture; and according to its function and benefits with the concepts and values of the thermal culture first culture. An in-depth analysis of the background and evolution of thermal culture and architecture over time was carried out during the design process of the project. We investigated the integration of conventional medicine and alternative medicine and how the architecture that is immersed in nature, influences on the recovery and wellness of the user. In order to determine the best location of the project, the regions of the country that possessed thermal baths were studied and compared. Furthermore, we analyzed projects that provide similar services at the national level, in Cuzco and Arequipa, and at international level, in South America and Europe. We also studied the ancestral architecture of the city, of historic center, and of the countryside and the architecture of the popular housing in the province of Cajamarca. It is important to emphasize (i) the concepts and thermal baths materialized in a sequence of spaces proposed in the thermal sector (ii) the concepts taken from the studies of the "Healing environment" proposed in the relaxation and rest environments; and (iii) the concepts taken from the analysis of the book “Vivienda Popular en Cajamarca" - Arq. Jorge Burga, we are used as principles to define the form of the architectonic project.
