Con la implementación de un nuevo canal de televisión de señal abierta (ICATV Canal 35 UHF) e integrando equipamiento electrónico de adquisición, producción, monitoreo, distribución y entrega ayudaría a mejorar la calidad en producción de nuevos programas televisivos informativos y educativos para beneficio del poblador de la provincia de Ica. La Universidad Privada San Juan Bautista toma la iniciativa de abrir un canal de señal abierta, a inicios del 2003, con todos los permisos pertinentes presentados al MTC, complementando el desarrollo profesional inicial de los alumnos de la Escuela de Comunicaciones, para, posteriormente, anexar todos sus 15 programas académicos. La presente investigación, se ha realizado durante el primer semestre del año 2003, en forma analógica, se fue actualizando con equipamiento digital nuevo hasta el año 2016 y se detalla las principales actividades que se realizaron para poner operativa la transmisión de señal de audio y video, donde se instalaron equipos mezcladores de video, monitores, consolas de audio, enlaces microondas y un transmisor de TV, los cuales se ubican en el departamento de Ica, provincia de Ica e irradia los 13 distritos de dicha ciudad. Se concluye que logramos implementar el canal de televisión para la población con fines informativos y educativos.

With the implementation of a new freeto air television channel (ICATV Channel 35 UHF) and integrating electronic equipment for acquisition, production, monitoring, distribution and delivery, it would help to improve the quality in the production of new informative and educational television programs for the benefit of the inhabitants of the province of Ica. At the beginning of 2003, the Private University San Juan Bautista took the initiative to open a channel with all the pertinent permits presented to the MTC, complementing the initial professional, and later annexing all its 15 academic programs. The present work was carried out during the first semester of 2003, in analog form, it was updated with new digital equipment until 2016 and details the main activities that were carried out to make the transmission of audio and video signal operational, where video mixing equipment, monitors, audio consoles, etc. were installed. microwave links and a TV transmitter are located in the department of Ica, province of Ica and radiate the 13 districts of that city.
