description El artículo esboza una propuesta, desde el paradigma cualitativo, para el alineamiento de la estrategia con la estructura organizacional de un centro de formación técnico profesional (CFTP) en el sector manufacturero peruano. Para identificar la estrategia, se utilizó la metodología de análisis y diagnóstico estratégico propuesta por Huamán y Ríos, y para la estructura propuesta, se empleó la teoría del diseño organizacional. Los resultados del análisis estratégico se sintetizan en el cuadrante FODA, que indica que el CFTP tiene una estrategia de estabilidad y defensa, y el análisis de la estructura identifica cuatro tamaños para los centros: grande, mediano, pequeño y el más pequeño.
