Los hallazgos indicaron que existe una predominancia de los niveles moderados de inteligencia emocional (46.1%) y niveles medios de habilidades sociales (50%), además se encontró una correlación positiva moderada entre ambas variables (ρ = 0.257) y estadísticamente significativa (p < 0.05). Se concluyó que el fortalecimiento de la inteligencia emocional influye positivamente en el desarrollo de habilidades sociales, lo que es esencial para la adaptación y éxito en contextos académicos y personales

A mixed methodology of a substantive-descriptive type was employed, under a quantitative paradigm, with a non-experimental design, cross-sectional, and correlational. A psychometric assessment was conducted using the Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS) and the Social Skills Scale by Elena Gismero (EHS) on a sample of 280 students selected through convenience sampling. The findings indicated a predominance of moderate levels of emotional intelligence (46.1%) and medium levels of social skills (50%). Additionally, a moderate positive correlation was found between both variables (ρ = 0.257), which was statistically significant (p < 0.05).
