La metodología del estudio incluye un análisis analítico, transversal y retrospectivo mediante un diseño de pruebas diagnósticas con 2304 pacientes del servicio de radiología con sospecha de esteatosis no alcohólica. A continuación, se formaron dos grupos: un grupo de 150 pacientes se sometió a la prueba diagnóstica Elastografía cuantitativa (ERFI) y a una biopsia, mientras que el otro grupo de 150 pacientes se sometió a la prueba diagnóstica Fibroscan y a una biopsia. La metodología del estudio será el análisis documental, y su herramienta será un registro de observación. Se utilizará la prueba de Chi Cuadrado (X2), teniendo en cuenta la significancia si el azar es <5% (p < 0.05). Se conseguirá la sensibilidad, especificidad, valores predictivos positivo y negativo, así como el área bajo la curva de la elastografía cuantitativa y del fibroscan, con sus respectivos intervalos de confianza del 95%. Las áreas bajo la curva se compararán con la prueba de Hanley y McNeil.
