Para el análisis de los datos se utilizó la prueba de normalidad de Kolmogorov ó Shpiro-Wilks y para valorar la correlación de las variables se empleó el coeficiente de Pearson. Los resultados mostraron una baja interacción en las redes sociales, además una correlación positiva fuerte entre la comunicación digital y la gobernanza de la municipalidad, con un valor de Pearson de 0.97. Asimismo, se observó una baja valoración para la gobernanza municipal. Dichos resultados llevaron a la conclusión que la comunicación digital influye en la gobernanza de manera significativa, debido a que la comunicación de la gestión edil no se interrelaciona con la participación ciudadana

In this quantitative correlational study, the survey and the Likert-type scale questionnaire were used as a data collection instrument, which was applied to a sample of 381 citizens. To analyze the data, the Kolmogorov or Shpiro-Wilks normality test was used and the Pearson coefficient was used to assess the correlation of the variables. The results showed low interaction on social networks, that there was a strong positive correlation between digital communication and governance in the Municipality, with a Pearson value of 0.97. Likewise, a low valuation will be observed for municipal governance.
