Se evaluaron a 287 profesionales odontólogos de la ciudad de Trujillo que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión, los cuales fueron captados mediante un muestreo por cuotas. Se utilizó un cuestionario de 20 ítems, cuyo puntaje fue clasificado en un nivel sobresaliente (19—20), muy bueno (17-18), bueno (14-16), suficiente (11-13), insuficiente (0-10). Se utilizó la prueba Rho de Spearman para determinar los factores que incluyen en el nivel de conocimiento (p<0.05). Resultados: Se observó que la universidad de procedencia, el año de egreso y el tiempo de ejercicio tuvieron correlaciones positivas con el nivel de conocimiento (0.418, 0.324 y 0.388 respectivamente, p<0.05). El nivel de conocimientos de bioética en odontólogos fue suficiente en mayor frecuencia (26.1%). La universidad de procedencia, el año de egreso y el tiempo de ejercicio también se asociaron con el nivel de conocimientos de bioética (p<0.05). Conclusión: La universidad de procedencia, el año de egreso y el tiempo de ejercicio influyen en el nivel de conocimientos sobre bioética en los odontólogos de Trujillo, 2023

A total of 287 dental professionals from the city of Trujillo who met the inclusion criteria were evaluated and were recruited by means of quota sampling. A 20-item questionnaire was used, whose score was classified as outstanding (19-20), very good (17-18), good (14-16), sufficient (11-13), insufficient (0-10). Spearman's Rho test was used to determine the factors included in the level of knowledge (p<0.05). Results: It was observed that the university of origin, year of graduation and time in practice had positive correlations with the level of knowledge (0.418, 0.324 and 0.388 respectively, p<0.05). The level of knowledge of bioethics in dentists was sufficient more frequently (26.1%). The university of origin, year of graduation and length of practice were also associated with the level of bioethical knowledge (p<0.05).
