El modelo econométrico utilizado fue el Vector de Corrección de Errores, con el cual se pudo estimar la relación de equilibrio de largo plazo y el término de corrección de errores de corto plazo y así evaluar los síntomas de la enfermedad holandesa. Dado que que únicamente se cumple el primer síntoma (determinante) de la enfermedad holandesa el cual corresponde al efecto negativo que tiene un shock en el sector energético/minero sobre el tipo de cambio real, se concluyó no hay evidencia que respalde la presencia de la enfermedad holandesa en Perú, 2000 a 2023

To this end, a non-experimental and longitudinal design was followed, with an explanatory scope. The sample consisted of the quarterly series of the copper price indicators according to the London Metal Exchange (dollars per pound), the multilateral real exchange rate index (base 2009=100) and the GDP of the manufacturing sector (index 2007=100) during the period 2000-2023 (96 quarterly observations). The econ ometric model used was the Error Correction Vector, with which it was possible to estimate the long-term equilibrium relationship and the short-term error correction term and thus evaluate the symptoms of Dutch disease.
