En la actualidad la situación del sistema penitenciario es crítica, más del 75% de establecimientos penitenciarios están hacinados, una situación alarmante que contribuye al deterioro de la infraestructura y genera condiciones adversas para el tratamiento, nuestro proyecto tiene capacidad para albergar a 2304 internos, logrando satisfacer la urgente demanda de plazas en la región norte del Perú. La propuesta permite un control total del establecimiento penitenciario a través de un diseño eficiente capaz de integrar nuevas tecnologías y nuevos esquemas de organización que brindan el soporte físico para la interconexión de las edificaciones con el sistema de gestión integral penitenciario que controla la seguridad del establecimiento mediante el monitoreo de equipos y sensores. El proyecto contempla el diseño de la arquitectura y especialidades del planteamiento general del establecimiento penitenciario Shumba, profundizando el desarrollo a detalle de las edificaciones del Edificio de control y los Pabellones de internamiento.

At present, the situation of prison system is critical, more than 75% of correctional facilities are overcrowded; an alarming situation that contributes to the deterioration of infrastructure and causes adverse treatment conditions, our project has the capacity to shelter 2,304 detainees, managing to meet the urgent demand for places in the northern region of Peru.
