Para ello, primero se analizó el comportamiento de las variables de estudio en forma individual y aislada tomando en cuenta el contexto económico y social, para luego estimar modelos de regresión lineal por medio del método de mínimos cuadráticos ordinarios que cumplan con el test de significancia estadística. Se consideró como población objeto de estudio los datos mensuales de las variables Remuneración Mínima Vital, el Nivel de Empleo Urbano y el índice del Producto Bruto Interno. Los resultados de la investigación han permitido determinar que existe evidencia empírica de una relación positiva entre la Remuneración Mínima Vital y el Nivel de empleo Urbano del Perú, durante el período 1997 – 2016.
