Se empleó un cuestionario vir tual formulado por el mismo autor, el cual fue validado por el juicio de 10 jueces expertos y se obtuvo un nivel de confiabilidad a través de un estudio piloto. Resultados: En el presente estudio se encontró un nivel bueno de 13,70%, un nivel regu lar en 44,07% y finalmente un nivel malo en 42,22%.En el mismo contexto, en cuanto al nivel de conocimiento según género, el 52,75% del género femenino fue regular, mientras que el género masculino obtuvo un 54,54% de nivel regular, según edad tenemos que un 43,66% de nivel malo pertenece al grupo de jóvenes, un 51,69% de nivel regular perte nece a los adultos maduros y un 48,18% de nivel regular en adultos mayores, en cuanto a los años de ejercicio profesional, tenemos que un 55,47% de nivel regular pertenece al grupo de 8 a 14 años de ejercicio profesional, un 27.01% de nivel bueno de 1 - 7 años de ejercicio profesional y finalmente un 37.50% de nivel malo en cirujanos dentistas con más de 15 años de ejercicio profesional. Conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento en cirujanos dentistas sobre el uso de EPPS de bioseguridad en la atención odontológica, Cajamarca-2020 es regular en 44,07%.

Materials and method: The study carried out was observational. 270 registered and li censed dental surgeons from the Cajamarca region were evaluated. A virtual question naire formulated by the same author was used, which was validated by the judgment of 10 expert judges and a level of reliability was obtained through a pilot study. Results: In the present study, a good level of 13.70% was found, a regular level of 44.07% and finally a bad level of 42.22% .In the same context, regarding the level of knowledge according to gender, 52.75% of the female gender was regular, while the male gender obtained 54.54% of regular level, according to age we have that 43.66% of poor level belongs to the group of young people, 51.69% of regular level belongs to mature adults and 48.18% of regular level in older adults, regarding the years of professional practice, we have that 55.47% of regular level belongs to the group of 8 to 14 years of professional practice , 27.01% of good level of 1 - 7 years of professional practice and finally a 37.50% of bad level in dental surgeons with more than 15 years of professional practice.
