Es además una actividad económica en expansión, que involucra alrededor de 100 mil talleres que ocupan directamente a 500 mil personas aproximadamente. La gran mayoría de estos talleres son micro y pequeñas empresas que enfrentan los mismos problemas de formalización, acceso a la información, capacitación y acceso a mercados que las empresas de otros sectores mercados que las empresas de otros sectores. Tal es el caso de La Encantada, un centro poblado del Distrito de Chulucanas, uno de los nueve distritos de la Provincia de Piura, con más de 3257 mil habitantes, con la ley 25132 en el año 1989, donde la agricultura y artesanía han sido los protagonistas de su desarrollo. En la actualidad, La Encantada carece de una infraestructura apta para que los artesanos puedan pueda recibir la correcta capacitación para el perfeccionamiento de sus técnicas, así como tampoco tienen la correcta exportación de sus productos. Con respecto a esa realidad, se propone un Centro de Capacitación, Producción y Comercialización Artesanal en el cual se desarrollará y repotenciará al sector en base del aprendizaje y capacitación de técnicas artesanales que satisfagan determinadas necesidades del La Encantada.

Moreover, it is an expanding economic activity, involving around 100,000 workshops that directly employ around 500,000 people. Most of these workshops are micro and small enterprises that face the same problems of formalization, access to information, training and market access as enterprises in other sectors do. Such is the case of La Encantada, a populated center in Chulucanas district, one of the nine districts of the province of Piura, with more than 3257 thousand inhabitants, with the law number 25132 in 1989, where agriculture and handicraft have been the protagonists of its development. Nowadays, La Encantada lacks an infrastructure suitable for craftspeople to be properly trained in order to improve their techniques. Likewise, their products are not properly exported.
