description El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre Autoestima y Autocuidado en el Adulto Mayor con Diabetes Mellitus tipo II, Hospital Belén de Trujillo, 2025, fue un estudio descriptivo-correlacional de corte transversal. Para este estudio se contó con una población muestral de 50 adultos mayores, a los cuales se les aplicó dos cuestionarios que recogieron los datos de cada variable. Los resultados encontrados son los siguientes: El 33% de adultos mayores con diabetes tipo II tienen autoestima alta, seguido de un 53% de autoestima media y finalmente el 14% presentan autoestima baja. En cuanto al autocuidado el 79% de los adultos mayores con diabetes mellitus tipo II tienen adecuado autocuidado, asimismo el 21% presenta un inadecuado autocuidado. concluyendo que existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre la autoestima y autocuidado en adultos mayores con diabetes tipo II registrados de la estrategia de enfermedades no trasmisibles del Hospital Belén de Trujillo a través de la prueba chi cuadrado, con valor de la prueba de chi cuadrado que es <,000, siendo el valor de p <0.05 lo cual indica que se rechaza la hipótesis nula y se acepta de hipótesis de investigación

There was a sample population of 42 older adults, to whom two questionnaires were applied that recognized the data of each variable. The results found are the following: 33% of older adults with type II diabetes have high self- esteem, followed by 53% of average self-esteem and finally 14% have low self- esteem.
