Material y Métodos: La población de estudio estuvo constituida por 246 historias clínicas de Gestantes a término según criterios de inclusión y exclusión establecidos, distribuidos en dos grupos: 19 pacientes con Retardo en el crecimiento intrauterino y 227 pacientes sin Retardo en el crecimiento intrauterino. Resultados: La frecuencia de pacientes con Hiperémesis Gravídica y RCIU en nuestro estudio fue de un 10,2% y de 7,7% respectivamente; con una asociacion altamente significativa (p<0,001). El promedio de pacientes con poca ganancia de peso y anemia fue significativamente mayor en el grupo de pacientes con RCIU (p<0.001). Conclusiones: El promedio de pacientes que presentaron hiperemesis con baja ganancia de peso y anemia si constituyen factores de riesgo asociados con el retardo en el crecimiento intrauterino en el Hospital Vista Alegre. Material and Methods: The study population consisted of 246 medical records of pregnant women at term according to inclusion and exclusion criteria established divided into two groups: 19 patients with intrauterine growth retardation and 227 patients without intrauterine growth retardation Results: The frequency of patients with hyperemesis gravidarum and IUGR in our study was 10.2% and 7.7 % respectively, with a highly significant association (p < 0.001). The average number of patients with poor weight gain and anemia was significantly higher in the group of patients with IUGR (p < 0.001).
