Los instrumentos de recolección de datos fueron la "Escala Trait Meta Mood Scale (TMMS-24)" y la "Escala de Bienestar Psicológico para Adultos (BIEPS-A)". En los resultados se encontró una correlación positiva moderada y estadísticamente significativa (p<.01) entre la inteligencia emocional global y el bienestar psicológico global. Es decir que a mayor inteligencia emocional mayor bienestar psicológico.

It used a descriptive-correlational design with a sample of 260 male and female students aged 18 to 35 (M = 22.6; SD = 3.9). The data collection instruments were the Trait Meta Mood Scale (TMMS-24) and the Psychological Well-being Scale for Adults (BIEPS-A). The results showed a positive and moderate correlation between overall emotional intelligence and overall psychological well-being (p < .01).
