En la provincia de Trujillo, actualmente cuenta con un sistema de reinserción social, conocida anteriormente como Ex-Floresta, que es un centro de rehabilitación con modalidad tipo mixta, quienes optan por la tipología cerrada (Internamiento del joven) y abierta (Entrada y salida del infractor en días específicos), este centro juvenil actualmente, no cuenta con espacio suficiente para el ingreso de nuevos reos, debido a la sobrepoblación que existe dentro del equipamiento, además que la zona donde se encuentra ubicada ya no pertenece a la tipología de uso de suelo permitida. Es por ello que en conjunto con INPE y PRONACEJ, se hace una investigación del caso y se plantea la reubicación de este equipamiento a las zonas periféricas de Trujillo, optando como sectores permitidos El Milagro – Huanchaco, el cual brindará la atención necesaria hacia los jóvenes priorizando la salud mental, física y psicológica que ellos necesitan, brindándoles servicios de educación, salud, hospedaje, recreación, alimentación, entre otros. De la misma manera se busca que la reinserción de los jóvenes infractores en la sociedad sea exitosa

This is carried out in collaboration with various public entities, private sector organizations, and non-governmental organizations. In the province of Trujillo, it currently has a social reintegration system, formerly known as Ex-Floresta, which is a rehabilitation center with a mixed modality. This includes a closed type (internment of the youth) and an open type (entry and exit of the offender on specific days). This juvenile center currently lacks sufficient space for new inmates due to overcrowding within the facility. Additionally, the area where it is located no longer falls within the allowed land-use zoning. Therefore, in collaboration with INPE and PRONACEJ, a case study is being conducted, and the relocation of the facility to the peripheral areas of Trujillo is proposed.
