Se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo y un diseño correlacional no experimental, con una muestra de 281 pacientes a quienes se les aplicó un cuestionario para evaluar ambas variables. Los resultados mostraron que el 38.1% de los pacientes calificaron la comunicación terapéutica como ""buena"", reflejando una valoración positiva de la interacción con el personal de enfermería. Además, el 96.8% de los pacientes presentó un nivel de ansiedad bajo, lo que indica un estado emocional favorable antes de la cirugía. La conclusión principal fue que existe una relación significativa e inversa entre la ansiedad preoperatoria y la comunicación terapéutica de enfermería (Tau b = - 0,168; p=0,006), demostrando que, a mayor calidad en la comunicación, menor es el nivel de ansiedad.

Hospital III EsSalud Chimbote, 2024. A quantitative approach and a non-experimental correlational design were used, with a sample of 281 patients who were administered a questionnaire to evaluate both variables. The results showed that 38.1% of patients rated therapeutic communication as ""good,"" reflecting a positive assessment of the interaction with the nursing staff. Furthermore, 96.8% of patients presented a low level of anxiety, indicating a favorable emotional state before surgery.
