La edad materna de 30 a 34 años representó el 41% y 33%, respectivamente. El 59% y 75% tenían nivel educativo secundario, y el 88% y 96% eran amas de casa. En cuanto al estado civil, el 77% y 71% convivían con su pareja. La mayoría provino del ámbito urbano (71% y 67%) y acudieron desde su domicilio (48% y 62%). En cuanto a factores obstétricos, el 76% y 63% fueron multíparas, el 47% y 54% no recibieron atención prenatal, y el 53% y 74% tuvieron antecedentes de cesárea. En conclusión, no se encontró una relación estadísticamente significativa entre estos factores y las muertes maternas (p>0.05)

A descriptive, retrospective, and analytical methodology was used with 41 maternal deaths. The results showed that the maternal mortality rate was 101 per 100,000 live births in 2011-2016 and 200 per 100,000 between 2017-2022. Regarding epidemiological factors, the most common cause of death was infection (53% in the first period and 33% in the second). The maternal age group of 30 to 34 years accounted for 41% and 33%, respectively. 59% and 75% had secondary education, and 88% and 96% were housewives. Regarding marital status, 77% and 71% were living with their partner. The majority came from urban areas (71% and 67%) and sought care from their home (48% and 62%). Regarding obstetric factors, 76% and 63% were multiparous, 47% and 54% did not receive prenatal care, and 53% and 74% had a history of cesarean sections.
