description El presente trabajo de investigación se enfocó al análisis de parámetros de rendimiento de la cobertura celular al outdoor mediante la utilización de un repetidor en diversas distancias de una BTS cercana a la zona costera del distrito de Santiago de Cao, Trujillo. Los escenarios fueron seleccionados basados en las áreas habitadas existentes en el área de estudio, recolectando información mediante drive test a distintas distancias, inicialmente en el distrito de Santiago de Cao a 1.3 km y posteriormente en la playa El Charco a 1.9 km. La evaluación de los KPIs sin el uso de repetidores demostró una disminución con respecto a la distancia, con valores altos y regulares predominando en áreas cercanas, valores regulares y deficientes en la zona intermedia y valores deficientes en la zona más alejada. Después de usar el repetidor, los parámetros experimentaron una mejora en las áreas cercanas e intermedias; no obstante, en la zona más lejana la mejora era difícil de notar, ya que predominaban valores deficientes. Al analizar los criterios en base a diferencias positivas significativas y con alta calificación en términos de la distancia, los indicadores exhibieron una disminución en su evaluación y promedio al aumentar la distancia entre la BTS y el repetidor. Se observo un indicador con un comportamiento específico, este fue el RSRQ, que mantuvo su categorización de valores intermedios en todas las distancias. Las conclusiones se presentan al final de este trabajo después de discutir los resultados

Las conclusiones se presentan al final de este trabajo después de discutir los resultadosThe present research work focused on the analysis of performance parameters of outdoor cellular coverage through the use of a repeater at various distances from a BTS near the coastal area of the district of Santiago de Cao, Trujillo. The scenarios were selected based on the existing inhabited areas in the study area, collecting information through drive tests at different distances, initially in the Santiago de Cao district at 1.3 km and later at El Charco beach at 1.9 km. The evaluation of the KPIs without the use of repeaters showed a decrease with respect to distance, with high and regular values predominating in close areas, regular and poor values in the intermediate zone and poor values in the furthest zone. After using the repeater, the parameters saw improvement in the near and intermediate areas; However, in the furthest area the improvement was difficult to notice, since poor values predominated. When analyzing the criteria based on significant positive differences and with a high rating in terms of distance, the indicators exhibited a decrease in their evaluation and average as the distance between the BTS and the repeater increased. An indicator with a specific behavior was observed, this was the RSRQ, which maintained its categorization of intermediate values at all distances.
