| Sumario: | At this time most cities suffer from water shortages, an alternative is to explore new sources of supply. Moyobamba is supplied with two broken; one of them is in the Microriver Almendra. This thesis entitled "Potential Drinking Water Using Microriver Almendra" assesses different aspects that influence the ability of the micro-basin to supply water to the city of Moyobamba. The work includes the evaluation of four major indicators within the Microriver: flow, precipitation, water quality and vegetation cover. A particular method of evaluation was used for each indicator. The flow of a stream was evaluated using a gage placed approximately 50 meters upstream of capturing the Provider Entity Moyobamba SRLTDA Sanitation Services. At the height of the water surface as measured by gauging the flow calibration curve was determined using the formula of the curve potential daily flow of the stream is determined. For flow past made use of the Soil and Water Assessment Tool program (tool for the assessment of soil and water), for which weather data were used from 1999 to 2004 Moyobamba weather station, soil map and map of land use, which when combined in the program yielded results in the flow behavior for the period 1999-2004; However, the quantity of sediment supplied to the flow and producing water in the Microriver determined. The precipitation was evaluated using a rain gauge with which readings it was taken three times a day and then made a comparison with precipitation data obtained from the meteorological station of Moyobamba, may determine that the variation between the two stations gives the height and ground topography. Different parameters were evaluated to determine water quality, flow rates do not exceed the maximum permissible limits set by the National Superintendence of Sanitation Services Directive No. 1122-99 / SUNASS, which indicates that the water collected by the EPS Moyobamba is of good quality; to complete the work was a recognition of the type of vegetative cover on the Microriver |
