Sumario:The antioxidant capacity of the Vaccinium corymbosum "Cranberry" fruit was determined in vitro with 2,2 diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), prepared in the Laboratory of Bromatology and Nutrition of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the National University of Trujillo; for which a nectar (65% fruit and 35% water) was prepared at a single concentration. The antioxidant capacity was measured by the method of Brad Williams, the readings being made with the spectrophotometer at 517 nm. The results were expressed in mg of ascorbic acid per 100mL of nectar; meeting 1943 ± 16.02; 1963 ± 6.92; 1967 ± 12.40; 2068 ± 2.51 mgAA / 100mL in samples at different amounts of 0.2 mL, 0.4 mL, 0.6 mL and 0.8 mL respectively. Similarly, the IC50 was determined, obtaining 0.1914 for 0.2 ml; 0.1990 for 0.4 mL; 0.1843 for 0.6 mL and 0.1584 μg / mL for 0.8 respectively. It is concluded that Vaccinium corymbosum nectar has antioxidant capacity and a greater amount of sample can obtain a greater free radical uptake
