Sumario:The present research work was developed in the Unidad Minera Isabelita de la Compañía Minera Los Andes Gold Perú S.A.C. whose objective was to determine the influence of the degree of fragmentation (P80) on the performance of the excavator Volvo EC750D, which was over the last half year its main problem was the low performance of the same reaching values of 992.61 t/h on average when the excavator can yield, according to the manufacturer's specifications, between 1200 and 1400 t/h; that is, it was 23% below the expected yield, with a unit cost of 0.152 $/t, which does not comply with the established mining program, so it was possible to determine how much it affects the fragmentation in the yield of the excavator where the data of 10 blasting’s that were made in different banks were first collected through the photographs were analyzed with the WipFrag software, in the same way all the data of the manual form of the excavator were collected during all the guard the performance of it during the day. After performing the analysis of the data obtained, it was determined that the degree of fragmentation does influence the performance of the excavator, and that it reaches the highest levels of performance when there is a fragmentation ranging between 100 and 300 mm. obtaining a value of 1170 t/h on average which represents an 18% increase in the yield in relation to the initial value and a cost reduction of 0.152 to 0.128 $/t which is equivalent to a 16% reduction in the initial value.
