| Sumario: | The present investigation of descriptive correlational type was carried out with the purpose of determining the relationship between the quality of nursing care and the satisfaction of the oncological patient of the emergency service of Eleazar Guzmán Barrón Nuevo Chimbote Hospital, the sample population consisted of 75 oncological patients To collect the information, two instruments were used, one referring to the quality of nursing care elaborated by Watson and modified by the author and of patient satisfaction by Larson, 1993 and modified by the author, for the analysis of the data the Chi-square statistical test reaching the following conclusions: 48% of the oncological patients of the Eleazar Guzmán Barrón hospital report a poor quality of care, 28% regular and only 24% good. 56% of the oncology patients at Eleazar Guzmán Barrón Hospital showed dissatisfaction with the care received and 44% satisfaction. There is a significant relationship between the quality of poor care and dissatisfaction, not satisfaction |
