Sumario:The present work has been carried out in order to detect how the application of the Lean Manufacturing methodology improves the purchasing process for the Chamber of Commerce and Production of La Libertad in 2019. The problem formulated for the research was: In what way the Lean Manufacturing methodology contributes to the improvement of the purchasing process in the Chamber of Commerce and Production of La Libertad? and it was hypothesized: The Lean Manufacturing methodology improves the purchasing process for the Chamber of Commerce and Production of La Libertad. Likewise, the general objective was: to detect how the application of the Lean Manufacturing methodology improves the purchasing process for the Chamber of Commerce and Production of La Libertad in 2019. There was a population of 6 sub-processes of the purchasing process on which was equal to the sample taken. The research design was descriptive-explanatory experimental. Regarding the instruments, the observation guide, documentary analysis, time study and checklist were used. Ultimately, the conclusion reached was that The Lean Manufacturing methodology improves the purchasing process in the Chamber of Commerce and Production of La Libertad, since, in the diagnosis, the average percentage of waste of the purchasing process was 29.28% and after the application of lean tools, it was obtained a decrease in waste to 20.26% achieving an improvement of 9.02%.
