Mediante el diagnóstico inicial y el análisis de estadísticas de los eventos ocurridos, se utilizó la metodología de implementación de estrategias. Lo primero que se hizo fue un diagnóstico por medio de una lista de verificación o línea base, esto me permitió identificar lo que falta en cuanto a lo que conviene un SGSST. Debido a que los trabajos realizados en el proyecto de defensas rivereñas son considerados como trabajos de alto riesgo, los trabajadores podrían sufrir accidentes fatales si no reciben capacitación adecuada y orientación a través de este plan de seguridad; además, es bien sabido que un accidente genera muchos gastos “invisibles”. Por lo tanto, después de elaborar e implementar el plan de seguridad, se llevó a cabo un cálculo mediante fórmulas y estadística para obtener el porcentaje exacto del índice de accidentabilidad. Por último, pero no menos importante, las campañas de seguridad incrementan la participación del personal y disminuyen los accidentes. El índice de accidentabilidad en el año 2023 se redujo en un 95% después de que se implementara el nuevo plan de seguridad de la empresa defensas rivereñas, río Huaura, OHLA.
