Starting from the cuestión What is the relationship between study habits and reading comprehension levels in third grade students of Primary Educational Institution N° 601324 “Virgen de las Mercedes” of San Juan Bautista, 2022? the Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between study habits and the reading comprehension levels in students third grade students of primary educational institution N° 601324 “Virgen de las Mercedes”, of San Juan Bautista, 2022. Materials and methods: It was applied two questionnaires to 60 children, previous validation for experts. The study was descriptive – relational and the design was not experimental. To determine the relationship it used the non-parametric statistical test Kendall Tau-b. It was observed: that resulted of the test Tb = 0,556, with a significance value p=0,00 < 0,05. Conclusion: there is a positive and significative relationship between study habits and the reading comprehension in students of the third grade of elementary school of the educational institution N° 601324 “Virgen de las Mercedes”, of San Juan Bautista, 2022.
