Sumario: | Using data from the JUNTOS Program in Belén, 2023, the current study, Nutritional status, food consumption, and eating behavior in children aged 1 to 5 years, tries to ascertain the association between these variables in children of that age….. Together Program, Belén 2023. T This research used a cross-sectional correlational descriptive design, a non-experimental quantitative method. There were 74 males and 46 girls in the study's sample. Assessments of the hemoglobin level, anthropometric markers, food intake, and eating habits were performed. When it comes to markers of nutritional status, the majority of boys and girls (98%) have appropriate weight-for-age ratios (P/E). In terms of the P/T, or weight/height index, 97% of the cases were normal. 97% of the people in the height-for-age (T/E) are the right size for the index. There were 5% of children with moderate anemia and 13% with mild anemia based on hemoglobin content. Noteworthy, sixty-five percent of the children had hemoglobin levels between 11.0 and 11.5 mg/dl. Apart from restricting their intake of fruits and vegetables, 61% of youngsters also eat foods or food products high in fat. Poor or unhealthy eating habits were reported by 63%. In all attributes or categories, pro[1]and anti-ingestion behaviors exhibit minor tendencies. That being said, pro- and antiingestion features, with the exception of emotional overeating and satiety response, were found to be statistically correlated with anthropometric indices. Additionally, food intake and height have a substantial link with weight. |
